Last night we ran out to the pharmacy to buy human eye drops so we could show Moonie that she’s not alone

Now our eye drop routine starts with mom and dad giving each other eye drops, followed by a treat. We’ve also upgraded Moonie’s rewards to little pieces of poached shrimp.

We’re hoping this will teach Moonie that eye drops are nothing to be afraid of and that mom and dad love getting them too.

Busy day for me at work today but at least it’s Friday soon!

This was Moonie yesterday looking at mom and dad have jambalaya for dinner. Why no jambalaya for Moon Moon??

Oh she’s laying it on thick with those sad little eyes! I can hear her saying “but if jambalaya not for Moon moon, why smell so good???”

Give that sweet girl some extra love from me today and tell her everyone on the board thinks she’s SO brave for taking her eye drops

Such dedication and great job showing her mom and dad also need to take eye drops.
Cats are so inteligent. I used to do that with nail cutting. I'd be cutting my own nails and showing Nestle and Peanut, "see mama needs to cut her own claws as well. It's ok."

This also reminds me of a Friends episode where Rachel had to put eye drops in her eyes and it was a team effort to do it for her.

And how disappointing no jambalaya for Moon Moon. "But I have sad kitty eyes. Pretty please"

Right? Parker almost got in trouble with me yesterday by letting her sniff the jambalaya and Moonie tried to take a bite of the sausage

I will! She’s very very brave. Though she’s going to have to run faster with those little legs if she doesn’t want to get caught. Yes… I had to chase her around with eyedrops two hours ago

Awww that’s so cute! I do think the cats look to us for cues. For whatever reason, my cats LOVE using the bathroom when I do, so they always use the litter box when I’m using the bathroom

And I’d forgotten about that episode! That’s basically Moonie right now. It’s a team effort to get those little drops in her eyes.

It’s funny because Moon Moon doesn’t actually make sad faces at me for the eye drops, just for food
