Good numbers Max!! Hope the car/smog gets resolved soon :). I only drive 3 mi each way to the park & ride. Would have a hard time getting 100 miles here in DC too!
 
Can't believe wha a mess this whole smog thing is for you. Shame that it is making you waste so much gas as well. Seems to defeat the purpose of this whole thing really. o_O Hope you see greens later :D:D

I'm in total agreement that this smog thing is totally out of hand...makes a whole lot of sense to increase your carbon footprint by driving aimlessly around town just to pass a smog test:confused:

Latest on the car is the mechanic replaced a thermostat that hopefully was the hold up. I had them do an oil change and got a call 2 hours ago that I needed one set of brake pads. I hope that one of them is going to take it home so it's driven enough to get the smog check as that will likely be needed to prep it. I told them I gave to get it back tomorrow. I thought it might be today but it doesn't look like it.

Busy weekend. I have a haircut Saturday and then need to get my mom to hers Saturday as the baby showerr for my niece is Sunday. I really don't want to be up early driving the stupid car Sunday before the shower.

Max probably needs more juice but I won't do it until Sunday night as long as he doesn't go too high.
 
Come on Max- lets stay nice and steady for your mom! Good luck with the car- it really sounds crazy! We just took ours in for something and had a lot of work done that wasn't expected.. but at least we don't have to deal with the smog checks!
 
I know he needs more juice. Eventually. Not sure what happened to all that green.

I espect to have to have normal stuff fixed and n the car. Not being able to complete a smog check just never entered my mind. If I had known I would have started a month in advance. When that first tech said I shouldn't park on the street as it could be towed that really got me worried. Everybody else has said I should be safe for the month and the. It would just be a ticket. Hoping that is right. Meanwhile I didn't get another call so I'm hoping the owner drove it home to put miles on the car. If you change anything and they changed a thermostat it needs to go through another drive cycle I think.
