Began time change switch at PM pre-shot meal yesterday, moving in 15 minute increments. This morning's number looks like the bounce may be starting to clear. I have a phone consultation with his vet next week to discuss his numbers and testing for acromegaly and IAA. Given his time on insulin [7 years] and the failings of Novolin N, I think he may have insulin resistance or toxicity that may be overcome in time. I haven't researched it, just have hope that his body can learn to use and require less insulin with enough time.
 
Maybe we'll see blue today. I held back about a half ounce of his LC canned and some of his kibble from breakfast this morning, promising an early snack @ +2. He protested but I held firm. Now after his +2 test, he has little interest. He ate a few bites, mostly the kibble and went back to bed. He wants his food when he wants it, not when it is convenient for me to give it or when it is advantageous for steering his BG. Kitties! :banghead: :cat:
 
I knew he was planning a double dip/late nadir. I even fed him a small snack at +9 but it seems to have done little other than to maybe dull his appetite. He's not eating his FF Chicken Feast as well as he did when he first had it. He is at the third 15 minute incremental push ahead on his insulin time. I have decided to go the additional 15 minutes tonight instead of waiting until tomorrow morning given his low pre-shot number. He'll have a nice leisurely pre-shot meal then his full dose of insulin.
