Early start for Trix's condo...I'm hoping for a BTB and workout before work today...

Still a little bouncey here....I'm wondering if it's related to the time change. This time around, because of the power outage chaos, we went with half hour increments for shifting her shot time, rather than the 15 minutes we usually do. Hopefully she'll settle back down and be a bit flatter. She did dip her toes in the lagoon last night.

I should be able to get some visiting in tonight...I sure hope so, I've really missed everyone, but have been thinking about each of you.

@Lisa - Thanks for the PSE&G links. DH has been all over their site since the second the power initially went out. According to their chart, our neighborhood should be done today; however, since at least 2-3 poles need to be replaced on my parents' street and there's still a huge tree laying across the road, we're all pretty skeptical. I tried to get my parents to come over to my store yesterday; my Dad did come and charge some of his computers, but my Mom is very depressed and just refused to budge. Aside from that, they are doing fine...I really hope we see some action soon.

Have a great day, everyone!

Amy

Re: 11/4 Trixie AMPS 209

Hi Amy, I bet Trixie is a little bouncy with the time change. I hope and pray all gets fixed with the power outages, especially with your parents. Sorry your Mom is so down. Is your Mom also allergic to cats; I thought you mentioned allergies with your Dad. Sending vines for all for power getting restored. Mags and Trixie are about the same AMPS today.

Re: 11/4 Trixie AMPS 209

Amy, I sure hope things get back to more normal very soon. I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I can only imagine how hard it is for everyone in your neck of the woods. Give Trixie a big hug from me (and all your other kids!).

Re: 11/4 Trixie AMPS 209

I hope the power will be back to normal soon. When life is in a recovery mode, we will feel better. Sorry about your mom feeling uneasy, wish you can have more time for her.
Trixie, surf into the blue. You're almost there!

Re: 11/4 Trixie AMPS 209

Amy, Hope Trixie settles down now that your power is back on and the time change is completed. Sorry your mom is feeling so bad, glad your dad got out of their house for a while and got things charged up. One time when we had big trees down here, the power company was able to provide temporary some wiring to get power to homes until the trees could be cleared, maybe something like that is planned for your area.

Re: 11/4 Trixie AMPS 209

Hi Amy,

I'm checking in with some of my neighbors today. I'm sorry you still are out of power. We just got ours back last night. Sorry about your parent's place too! I thought I saw that your neighborhood had power, but then they said it went back out again.

Glad you and your family are safe, not so good to be cold though. I never could imagine this could happen in our area. DH was home all week too.

Sending positive energy to your area of town!

Checking in on you. That really stinks about your parents. I bet your mom is depressed. Thinking of all of you. ((((Amy))))

Re: 11/4 Trixie AMPS 209

Hi Amy,

I really hope that they were able to get the power up and running for you today. Sending you and your family warming vines as you wait for your light and heat. It looks like Trixie was trying to shine some light with that sunny yellow she gave you this morning.

I'm starting to wonder if we do have a failed reducie on our hands. She did dip down to the greens at +5 last night, so I'm holding out for just a little while longer, but I don't want to lose the momentum she had going. Maybe she preferred the cold darkness of the blackout  ???

Still no action on my parents' street...I really hope something happens tomorrow - or at least before they kill each other.

I forgot to tell you how much I loved her picture the other day laying by the heat register. Ok Trix...drama is over...time to get back down to those lovely greens.

I was worried about Mario when you didn't have any heat....it's so hard on their old bones to be cold no matter how much you try and keep them warm. Thank you for your thoughts on our condo...I know we have been walking parallel paths with Gus and Mario. Mario is older than Gus and so you've done fantastic by him. I hope they will both have many, many years.

I also hope your folks get their power on soon and your mom will be better. I can't imagine how difficult it must be. Thinking of you all and sending you mega watts of wishes for POWER.

Hi Amy,
I see you got a generator. I don't think Daphne would have made it through this if we didn't have one. That generator is my new favorite thing.

I've been trying to look back to see how all of our east coast neighbors are doing. I wish I could have offered help for your parents, but of course I have Daphne, and I saw your parents are allergic and why they can't stay with you. I feel so bad, I really can't complain, it was 6 days without power, but we had the generator going the whole time.

I also hope Roni will be ok, I don't have a "Daphne" post, so sorry to highjack yours, but I am just worried about everyone in our area.

Let me know if I can do anything for you or your parents. I think you do have power now, or no?
Sorry, I'm in such a fog from all this stress.

So glad Mario will be warm now.
