11/4 TOTALLY OT-netflix worm

I know, crazy to post this here, but our computer problems today were caused by a worm that came from an email
purporting to be regarding our netflix streaming movies account.
And i know how folks here depend on their computers.
if you have netflix & get an email from them, don't open the email...
call their 1-800 number instead.

Thanks Celi for the warning. I wonder if something similar is why my computer always freezes up. I do have the Norton anti-virus.

I use AVG FREE...
norton didn't catch it for some reason...
AVG did, but MS Essential Security would let AVG delete it ohmygod_smile

too much security on my laptop :roll:

I got a Netflix email but never opened it and now my Outlook is dead. Bet this is my cause. ARGH!

A friend of mine had her e-mail address book hijacked. I wonder if this has anything to do with the Netflix worm. She is a big user of Netflix. So far I haven't received anything purporting to be from Netflix, but I did get a bogus e mail sent from my friend's account, but not sent by her. It had a clickable link (which, of course, i didn't click on. I think it was from NBCTV, but don't remember. I deleted it.)
