No, Rob, no contraband in my house she could get into. But she has shown a pattern of very high numbers at night (off the charts, "high") which caused me to lower the insulin. Am thinking about going back to 1U now, however. SHe does graze feed all day, however, and it is impossible to know when, so that could easily be effecting the numbers. Do you know how much higher a food spike (from FF) would take her? I don't know---but it seems unlikely it would account for anything that high.
 
I tried the new FF for a few days and it raised Harley's bg's to almost 300 from the 160's. The flavors were usually Turkey & Giblets, Chicken Dinner, and one other, can't remember. I tried Friskies again and that did the same thing.

Right now I'm feeding Wellness Chicken but it is very high in fat so I'm looking at a food change again, ugg!
 
Were those FF the "classic" line? I have been feeding Tender Beef feast classic, turkey and giblets feast classic , Tender beef and chicken feast classic, and Chicken feast classic. I love Janet and Binky's list but find it difficult to use---the current foods I find are mostly not on that list, and I can't find the ones that are on the list. There are some Friskies, I believe, but Squamee doesn't like them as well. She very much prefers things with some liquid.
 
Yes the FF was the classic line.

Mine will eat the Friskies but prefer the Wellness. I add water and make it all like gravy.
 
Rob, you found the Wellness chicken did not raise the BG? I will have to try that. Good to know.

The Wellness Chicken is 4% carbs, the Turkey is too but they don't like it as well. So I feed 2 days Chicken 1 day Turkey and that seems to be going well.
 
1u makes sense to me - you are seeing nice pretty U-curves with room for the #s to go lower.

I think the FFs are in the old Janet & Binky list - there's a link from her main page to the "Old" list and the "New" one, and that's my recollection. Of course with FF having changed their formulas and all that, Janet's #s might not be the same now anyway...
