Good morning! (Yawn.) I'm having problems with the time change, in that I have NOT been able to get a hold of Papaya's wristwatch to reset it. She still draws a firm line at what is now 3:22 AM, as the point at which a human MUST get up to start breakfast proceedings (a seven-minute snooze window is allowed past the time when the alarm should go off, apparently). I had worked the shot to about half an hour later, so supposedly getting up at the current 3:45 would have let me move it another 15 min and we would be on the proper time for tonight . . . but resetting the cat is worse than resetting the clock on the car stereo (um, which is now 56 minutes fast, and will be until I dig out the manual). If I try to ignore my cat-alarm, the claws come out . . . so I got to go back to bed after AMPS with a sooooo-itchy hand reacting to all the little scratches!

However, I guess Papaya was legitimately hungry this morning considering how far down in green she had gotten! She seemed to be on the rise, though, so while I did leave some MC out just in case, I don't think she'll be dropping this morning. Meanwhile she's delighted to have gotten to try some salmon-chicken Friskies shreds.

Goodness, Papaya! A demanding lil kitty, aren't we? Buster will wake me sometimes, but he just licks my arm with his lil sandpaper tongue. If that fails, he goes for the face! Waking up to a cat licking your eyelid is quite an experience. :roll: Somehow, they always get their way. Nice numbers today!

Wow Amy! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: No matter what time you wanted that AMPS to be, I'm sure that 53 really woke you up. I can so relate to setting the kitty wrist watches - it's agony here as well. Neko just yells at me but the civie sits on my throat. Still, better than claws. Be good today Papaya.

Oh Amy, 3:22 AM :roll: That is about what time I went to bed last night. So early...and so late. I hope Papaya can find her wristwatch manual too. Time to re-set it Papaya!

Come to think of it, my cats are being pretty good about the time change this year.
In the past I have suffered the same....
It's either they have learn that meowing won't help because I have been firm about the meal time since Lucy's dx or the bedtime snack is keeping their tummy patient.....

I hope Papaya gets used to the new time soon!

And that's why I get up after my hand gets scratched, before Papaya takes any more drastic measures :lol: When I first got her, she would bite my toes to wake me up!

:lol: Oh, I can just imagine! That's one thing Papaya doesn't do - actually she doesn't sit on laps, either, I guess humans are not safe to walk on as far as she's concerned.

That is about what time I went to bed last night.

Hmmm, too bad we didn't live next door to each other or something, maybe we could somehow combine schedules to actually get some sleep!

I fed Papaya at +8, and she didn't want more than about a teaspoon, so I thought she wouldn't be so hungry so early! I always feel like she must be thinking I am just SO slow to understand that she wants food (dense human . . .) that she has to make it VERY clear and keep after me until I "finally" get the hint!

Mr.Cat is now getting me up at 4am. Super fun.

I'd settle for 4, that's pretty much the usual time around here :shock:

Looks like most of us are having the same problem..How to reset the stomach alarm!! China sits on my chest and tries to open my eyelids with her paws..and occasionally a claw too!

I bet when you saw that AMPS number you got a lot more awake quickly! I know when I get a lower than expected number, it makes me stand up and pay attention..especially in that early morning test

Hope Papaya stays in those pretty safe green and blue numbers for you!!

Ouch!! Yet somehow a very cartoonlike scene in my head . . . I'm imagining her stretching your eyelid up like elastic to see if anyone is in there :lol:

Ha, you're right! Growing up in Roblin half our friends were from the other side of the border only a few miles away so it got really confusing figuring out if you were scheduling things on MB or SK time . . . one elderly lady in Macnutt figured she'd handle it by setting her clock half an hour ahead to split the difference, which obviously just confused EVERYONE. :lol:
