Yesterday was...... RECOVERY DAY in MannieLand. Rumor has it that the Blue Mannie Group was performing live at J.D.'s 18th Birthday Party, after a day of impromptu jam sessions at pizza places all along their road trip route. What a great day for Mannie. We had been yellow the day before, only to have him turn it around into a great blue day: a nice steady blue surf, with the predictable food spikes at +2. We hope for a great day today - lots of Blue for the Blue Mannie Group. Lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D It was a very quiet day here yesterday in MannieLand. I think he too was in DGS recovery mode. :lol: :lol: After three whirlwind days of HE VOICE ad THE SPEED RACER I am sure he felt the need to chillax in his bed, and on the nanner pile. And so he did yesterday. He did make a few forays out into the yard, but not for long. The winds were a little strong today. I suspect he remembers the day when they knocked him sideways, and didn't want to risk that again today. :shock: :o :shock: ;-) :lol: :lol: His appy was a little off after his +1 AM feeding yesterday - not too sure what is up with that. It seemed like he just didn't want what was fed, which is slightly unusual for him. Once the fuds were changed a couple of times we were back on track. Perhaps he was just tired of the "same ole thing"... fancy that.... :lol: :lol: The kitty choir, aka Elsa, aka my back up alarm system, was in full force this morning. Her stomach clock said I was late, an hour late, and she was not happy. The meows were endless. :roll: :roll: So much for that extra hour this morning. Mannie could have cared less. :lol: :lol: This morning we had a great test, feed and shoot and clean plate club , purrs and a lots of cuddles. :cool: Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D

Have a great day everyone. Today is catch up day... all the things I never get done when DGS is here, and didn't do yesterday.... I got caught up with yard cleanup yesterday, never did make it back inside to work on things until Mannie's PM shot time, and by then I was in "the day is done" mode. I hope to get in a short hike somewhere today, if I can find dry spot, never got that in yesterday either.... sheeesHHH! Well maybe today.

Hey everybody! What's up???? Wasn't J.D.'s birthday party the bestest thing ever? all that lobster! :shock: YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gots to start putting that on our party menus! Hey - There is SNOW at Rusty's!! You guys wanna go? I so hope the wood stove is stoked and stuff. That and the radiators: PURRFECT! so... uhhh.... I had heard rumors that the Blue Mannie Group was playing at J.D.'s birthday party. I'm sure the group was fabulous!!

Recovery day sounds really nice. I need one of those days :-D

Hi Michelle, Glad all is well in Mannieland! :-D After sunny yellow start I hope he has blue skies the rest of the day and some green meadow would be just fine too. I am thinking more and more about these fantastic kitteh barrista concoctions. I must be one of the last people who has not had fancy coffees, will have to try it sometime. The gang here decided it was time to get up, never mind the time change, its always time to feed the cats :roll: . I am getting in some early visits before the day gets away from me. Morning Michelle and thank you Mannie for my early Espresso and mocha coffee drink (even though I didn't change my time :lol: ) Mannie you did good with the BMG, and Maggie was able to be back-up, staying in the blue. Oh boy I guess Elsa didn't even take a stab at Mannie's nanners today! Mannie recovery day today; rest up Mannie as Wednesday right around the corner. :lol: Have a great day, Michelle with catch-up chores, same here. I hope to get in a walk. It didn't goo too well yesterday with me and Mags falling asleep in the recliner.

Mannie, wasn't J.D's birthday party a blast. Lobster it is on the menu and a great idea, and Vyktor will bring the champagne to dip the lobster tails, he, he, Champagne as our dipping sauce. Rusty's porch sounds cozy, maybe barbecue some fishes, too. Seee ya at curb, Mags

Hi Mannie and kitties,
It's a bit cold and damp on the porches (they are not heated), but the radiators are nice and warm, and we'll have a fire in the woodstove, too. My papabean is baking bread and my mamabean is making soup, so I asked them to make extra for us. It's a great day to chillax. Cold and snowy outside, warm and cozy inside. I'll whip up some hot tuna toddies. See ya later,

The salmon are running, just started, so that is always a great thing to watch. either way -----> :o :o @-) :YMSIGH: ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile AND WHERE DID THAT COME FROM???? I love the saying that from yellow flats comes good active cycles. Well... one never knows with Mannie. It often does not mean down, it means up. And so he did! I sure hope he clear this one fast or PMPS will be really ugly... :shock:

On a GOOD note: I am trying a new meter: the WaveSense Presto. I really like this meter. It was the lower of the two: a 432, where the Maxima gave me a 505. LOL: I chose the 432. I will compare a few more tests so I can get a feel for how this meter reads in comparison to the Maxima. I believable the variables between these two tests is the normal variable, it's just that with numbers that high it just really looks ugly and shows the difference to be huge. Anyways - what was GREAT and WAY TOO FUNNY was that when I took it out of the box - it was BLUE! :lol: :lol: :lol: :cool: Now how cool is that! The BMG, when he is the BMG that is, has a blue meter! You gotta love it. :cool:

Mannie, your bean was looking for a permission slip, but the yellows were just fine! Yikes! Those cats sure like to keep us guessing. I hope you got out for a short hike. It's not very nice here, just sometimes it slows down to a drizzle.

Now you've got me wondering about colour meters. I've been using the pink Relion (pink for girl cat), but maybe I should switch to my backup Relion which is blue.. :lol:

Another loser meter when the number was SO HIGH, and then tested with my normal one and the number was even worse! :shock: :shock: :shock: sheshhhhh - at least the +11 was lower.... I just hope it doesn't take too long, and that he doesn't dive to get there... and yes - I did get out: hiked the local trails here to the shore, explored the woods en-route some too. Great time!

No food involved either... :shock: Yes I did get ut for a short hike, there is a ncei trail through the woods to the shore her by the house,a bout 4/5 miles depending on route taken. so we did that. sorry for your weather -we got lucky today ,at least up to now. Very dark and gloomy out there at the moment, rains are coming... I really had to alugh on the meter color. I didn't choose it when I ordered it. Just had a good laugh when this perry shiny sparkly blue thing was in the box. So perfect for a kitty that loves the blues.... Ann has the same meter - but hers, I think, is red. :shock: :shock: oh oh....

Hi Ella - me too on the weather. We have alot of ugly clouds rolling in an out very fast, but they never let loose with the wet stuff. YAY! no, nope salmon today. Not too surprised as I really think the ones from yesterday were there earlier than they should be. we normally don't see any until the end of November... and THX: I hope he does too.... these reds and pinks are PAINFUL!

Hi Ann, and Maggie - hmmmmm... all that lobster and cake seems to have taken their toll.... and THX: that he will, get back on track. the hike was nice - no rain, kinda warm at 61, but no sun either, very overcast. all in all - still an great time.

Oh Mannie! Today was a rest day..not a walk on the high side! How funny he was taking a break in his bed after his outdoor venture with the wind and with DGS this week.

Hope you got a hike today. I have no idea how you come up with those amazing coffee combos...I think you should open your own barista shop :lol: :lol:
