For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! The CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE has been so popular that it is now part of the cheery cherry Monday line-up! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I love cheery cherry Mondays.
I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. I spent mine at home, with a few local hikes to add some outdoor time to a weekend full of chores and errands and general relaxation recovery time from a very busy week with the boys. We had all sorts of weather, from severe winds, to heavy rains to gorgeous sunny fall days. What a combo! Sunday was an outdoor day for me. With blue skies and sun, I just couldn't stay in. We never made it much above 45, but with the sun, I just didn't feel the cool temps. Here's what I wrote last night about yesterday: "Hi everyone! I hope your Sunday has been a good one. Our weather has improved dramatically since the storm of yesterday morning. We had, for the most part, sunny skies today, cool at 46, a nice fall day. I was sitting here on the PC this morning, watching the dark start to leave us, the emergence of first light and thought that it looked darn incredible out there. SO I made the decision to go on an early hike through the woods to the shore, and see if I could catch that sunrise. I would have liked to have made first light, but missed that by 15 minutes. What a GORGEOUS morning at the shore. The clouds and the rising sun made for the most beautiful sky. I spent a good couple of hours down there watching the sky change. The tide was in so I didn't have much shore to walk with, but every time I turned back to walk the other direction the sky had changed once again. It sure made for a great time. Lund's Gulch Creek meets the sound here at the shore, and is known for it's salmon runs. We need the storms of November to bring them into the creek. I really didn't think that the storm that we had yesterday would have been enough, as it usually takes a couple of them to get the run going. To my surprise, as I was leaving, I heard them in the tunnel portion of the creek. oh joy of joys! The salmon were running. So I stayed even longer to watch some of the run. WOOT! Salmon in the tiny tiny creek. It is quite the experience to watch these fish navigate, and return every year to this creek. YaHOO! And what a morning.... The afternoon was spent raking leaves in the yard... there were so many.... not. fun. at. all. "   on those leaves...and we are just getting started. There will be many more sessions out in that yard. raking. oh goodie. Picassa link to yesterday, and the videos: Morning at Meadowdale, Morning Sunrise via mobile uploads, Salmon Run (photos) and Salmon Run (videos). Some of the salmon photos and videos appear almost black and white. Those were taken in the tunnel section of the creek, where one just doesn't see the color.

What to say about the kitties.... They do not like the time chnage.  Elsa and Bug were all over me yesterday morning. Alot of hollering and whining and carrying on, simply because I would not get up at what thy knew was FEED ME time.   It was the same at the dinner hour... they started following me everywhere, making sure I knew they were hungry and how displeased they were that they were not getting their fuds, Lola was the loudest!  The whole thing so reminds me of BJ, when we had time changes. When she started in with this ear piercing bellow she had she just didn't stop. It took her a week to adjust. Miss you BJ, but not your time change bellows. The day yesterday was a good one for all of them. Elsa went out some, napped too. Bug spent alot of time just watching the outdoors from a window perch. Lola was... well... Lola. Lot of running here there and everywhere. She only knows one speed ya know: warp speed running. Alot of seeing what she could get into. Alot of "whatcha doing?" ALot of Lola.  But at least she left the plants alone. YAY! Yupp!

Have a great day everyone! I'm not too sure what will be here today. One of those days when I shall see what comes to be. I may hike, if the weather holds. Paws crossed that it does.
