Let's see how this goes! :cat:

The comparison between Weruva Wx and TruLuxe line-up for phos is night and day.

The phos on the TruLuxe Quick 'N Quirky I was going to settle on that I've been giving Kona is the highest phos in the TruLuxe line-up.

Everytime I make a decicion, there is something else off that I don't like... the food is either perfect with high protein here, but crazy high phos there, then perfect carb level here, then super high fat or sodium there.

Hi Jason, don't be too stressed just yet. Cleo got a similar diagnosis earlier this year. My Vet recommended (and verified by other sources) to limit phosphorus to around 200mg/kcal and increase hydration. I give Cleo the WX chicken puree and gravy as an after nadir snack. Keep in mind though that there are higher in overall calories per can. Also she does get bored with it.
Nutrition is truly a balancing act and takes lots of experimenting:bookworm:.
I keep on hand and circulate a number of different proteins that are under 250mg/kcal phosphorus and in the LC range of 0-9%.

Have you seen this CKD food Chart It has a list of foods that are lower phosphorus and diabetic friendly.

Thanks @Angela & Cleo. You are not lying, it's totally a balancing act. Thanks for the tips! I'll check out the food chart.

Starting to look like a case of new dose wokiness (NDW).

Hoping it clears up in the next 24 hours or so...

Take a look at this
Wx's full nutritional information, click here.
With weruva foods
This is what I have been told to go by , by many members
You want the metabolizable energy profile percentage of carbs to be less than 10%, and the phosphorus which Weruva lists in Minerals to be less than 250 mg per 100 cals. So you have to look at two different places in the Weruva charts.

Yes, thanks! Looking like Weruva is pretty good at the lower carb & phos levels. The other things I try to wrap my brain around is the optimal protein and fat content too. Makes my head want to expload!

You may want to start here https://catinfo.org/
And here is the link to Dr. Lisa's food chart last updated in 2017. The first couple of pages is an excellent explanation of what we should and shouldn't be looking for in our kitties' food.

Note: this morning I noticed the 1:10am food slot was still there this morning. The other two meals were eaten. Could have been asleep, maybe didn't hear the CatMate rotate, or just wasn't hungry.
