So, Henri has been OTJ since 10/22. She is still having some issues with her gallbladder. She started Ursodiol last week bc of it and hasn't been able to tolerate the clavamox. I restarted her on Clavamox 11/1 and added in a digestive enzyme treat which i can only assume is high carb and she hasnt vomitted and has been eating fairly well. I have the digestive enzyme coming in a powder form but it wont be here for 2 more days and her numbers are climbing.
I could:
1. Take her off the clavamox and continue antibiotics with a covenia shot. I am not thrilled with this bc of how long it stays in the system, she already had 2 shots and it didn't do enough apparently and it is also not the preferred antibiotic for her issue
2. Lave her on the clavamox with the digestive enzyme treat for another 2 days and hope she can stay in remission
3. Leave her on the clavamox and remove the Digestive enzyme treat or half the dose and hope she doesnt start throwing up again and lose her appetite.
What are your thoughts and should I be concerned with her numbers? Should I possibly reintroduce a drop dose of insulin?
IF you take a look at her sheet, her numbers are slowly climbing since starting the clavamox and digestive enzyme treat...BUT she is also able to bring them down to normal range within 2 hours of eating so I can only assume her pancrease is still working and working well?
I can't feed her less food bc it might cause her to have an unsettled stomach and throw up, I can try to play with her more to help her body lower the BG
