Welcome to your new time zone for all of you who had to switch. We're gloating in AZ that we didn't have to, right Liz??
We continue to say special prayers for Roni and Brad, Amy and her family (including parents who still don't have power), and especially for Dale and DH.
Bouncy day yesterday with a few numbers higher than I would like. I told Missy G last night that she better start clearing out that bounce or she was going to get a little more juice. I'm hoping the +4 is an indication she knew I meant bidness!   Last night and this morning she got wound up and was doing her crazy baby run through the house. Tobey wouldn't even keep up with her. This morning after we did T/F/S, I got coffee and my iPad (because we now take the newspaper electronically) and climbed back in bed and next thing I knew, Gracie and Tobey were back in there with me snuggling down into the comforter. Sweet babies.
We're keeping a close eye on Gus. We agree he's gone downhill somewhat clinically in the last week. He's eating but he's not voracious. Sometimes he walks slowly into a room and then just stands there for several minutes as if he's not sure where he wants to be. I watch to see if he is any pain (he gets a maintenance dose of bupe) but he'll pick up a leg and start bathing it. I don't think he has any dementia....he seems to be in the moment and is very responsive to us. His eyes are bright and alert and he's attentive to things going on around him. I picked him up and cradled him like a baby this morning and he did what he always does....put his paws on either side of my face and then gently pats my cheeks and wants to give me lots of kisses. Our sweet boy....we can't stand the thought of him not being here. There is no kitty like our Gussie.
Since I've been gone most of the day on Fri and Sat, today is chore day around the house. Have a wonderful day.
