Yesterday's condo and ER visit for mom

11/3 AMPS 89,+5.5 68, PMPS 91,+3 57,+6 84

Yes.....you're seeing right.....that's a 136 for China's +6 today!!! :(

Her shot this morning didn't feel right, so I'm not sure if she got anything, but I guess that answers that nagging question I've had about "how low will she go"?.....I'm thrilled she's dropped from over 2U down to less than .5, but like a lot of you, I wondered if she'd be able to go the rest of the way

As unlikely as it is after almost 4 years, I still held out hope....not looking so good today though

DM has had a BAD day....she's stronger, but her mind is totally off....she called me 7 times in 30 minutes this morning and made very little sense in any of the calls....as well as asking the same question over and over again.

Cancelled her PT appointment as well as hair...hoping a few days of rest can snap her back

It's not a good day around here

Sorry about the FS, but maybe you needed to not have to monitor her today, with so much else on your mind and heart. She'll get back on track.

I'm so sorry to hear that your mom isn't doing well today. When my aunt (in her late 90s and in a full-care residence) was getting forgetful she sometimes called us 20 times a day. And these were long-distance calls! We solved the problem by buying her one of those phones without dials or buttons that they have in hotel lobbies. That way we could call her every day, but she couldn't call us. The staff, of course, could always get in touch with us when necessary. I hope your mom will be doing better tomorrow.

I'm sorry to hear your having a bad day:( it's difficult to see light at the end of the tunnel when your in the middle. When I'm having a bad day I always say it will be over soon and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day:bighug::bighug::bighug: (I remind myself it could always be worse).

Don't get discouraged. Stop and look at your spreadsheet for a moment. It's green as far as the eye can see. China is doing great at this dose! Today is just an anomaly.

Speaking of the dose, a quarter-unit is just a few drops. Think about how easy it is for those couple of drops to end up somewhere with poor absorption, like a little piece of scar tissue or something.

China will get back on track. She always does.
 
I'm thinking it's an anomaly too, or a bad rude meter or something..I say put this lousy day behind you...too many reasons to cross it off on the calendar:bighug::bighug:
I'm sorry about your DM, it is so very hard to be where you are. My mom called me non stop too when she was trying to make sense of the world around her. I bought a headset so I could walk around and still listen and try to help. I'd come home from work to an answer machine filled with her messages. And the phone rang from the wee hours in the am, and into the wee hrs of the night. It's so very hard, my heart goes out to you:bighug::bighug::bighug:
China will come back around, the lagoon is where she's at her best so I'm sure she's not going to stay away.:bighug::cat:

we can't all dance perfectly for every step, y'know....

i dealt with those repeat conversations for years....
they are so frustrating, and you don't want to feel annoyed, but you do....
you just have to find your best coping mechanism, usually humor helps....

I bet China is also picking up on your stress. She's almost the same BG as your mom. But she will be back at the lagoon soon.
