Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Ahhhhhh.... elixir! Thanks Elsa~), and Happy Catmint Caturday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Paw Prints Pizza is open and ready for business! They are running a Caturday Catnip special today, in honor of Catmint Caturday - lots of nip in those pies! They have even used their signature nip cheese. Best order early! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a venti quad peppermint white chocolate mocha, with peppermint infused whip, garnished with peppermint candy chips and white chocolate shavings... It is my bean's fav! SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of peppermint and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, sprinkled with peppermint chips and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts too!

I hope everyone had a great Furday. Mine was rather laid back. ;-) We all had a blast on Thanksgiving, but it was a very long day. So.... I elected to make it a whatever happens day. and it was. I went on a short hike in the morning, visited a local beach later in the day for the sunset. Both were nice. I started to decorate the house for Christmas too. We don't do too much, but I do like the garlands and colored lights. so all that went up. I have a small Christmas Village that goes on the fireplace mantle, that went up too. WooHOO and bring on the holidays! Here's what I wrote in last nights post about the day: "Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Any of you out there shopping? not me..... :o kudos to you brave souls that tackle that today. ;-) It has been a rather laid back day here, but with a few walks. Meadowdale Shore was nice this AM, missed a killer sunrise by 30 minutes, and watched it through the trees.  that's what I get for taking my time in the woods. Oh well, no matter there will be more of those. Shore was so deserted this morning, only me all morning long. Fine by me. :-D I like it there when I have it all to myself. I went to Picnic Point Beach to watch what I could see of the sunset tonight. Even with all the clouds that moved in that was nice. I watched a guy fishing until it as too dark to see. I really enjoyed that. Out over the water one could sure see the storm that is supposed to hit us tonight, build over the next few days. Dark and gloomy past the San Juans. So not too bad in the walking/hiking dept, managed about 7.5 miles between the two of the walks today. "

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!!   It is oddly quiet here this morning.... too quiet.... the calm before the storm? More like the calm after the storm.... It seems this is the norm every Caturday... hmmmm... somehow I remember writing this last Caturday too. What is up with the quiet Caturdays???? ;-) :? She ran alot, she always does. With all the decorating it is slowly beginning to look like Christmas here. Lola was , more or less, behaved. oh heck. no she wasn't.   The garlands were Lola-ized, but not too badly. She thought they made great things to run with, and Poor Santa lost part of his beard. That is fixable... Remarkably she left the lights alone, and the Christmas Village. YAY!! Guess they must be boring.   I have this very small Christmas tree that goes in the kitchen up on one of the shelves of my kitchen cart. It's maybe 18" high, made out of that stuff that looks like nylon, matt finish, stiff, green, and cut to look like needles. Anyways... that was chomped on, chewed on, rubbed on, knocked around, and really Lola-ized. :o      Scary. This is not looking good for my Christmas tree..... Now Bug and Elsa were good kitties. Bug has adopted the last of Mannie's beds. An overstuffed fluffy thing that sits by the wondow. It was nice to see him in it. Fits him perfectly too. GO BUG! Elsa was Elsa today: the cool, calm, and collected matriarch of the group. ALot of time napping today. Although she did give Lola a run for her money this morning, and was chasing her around the house. WOW - another day that she's been keeping Lola on her toes. COOL! Normalcy in MusketeerVille!!

Have a great day everyone. it is a for sure catch up day here: shopping, errands, laundry and some cleaning. And recovery time. I thoroughly enjoyed having both boys these past three days, but need some regroup time.  So that shall be today. That and an afternoon walk, to the shore I hope! We are very cold, but I will go anywyas, layered up. It is incredibly beautiful down there when it is frozen...

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Good Morning Michelle! (Please Elsa, more coffee...)

Nope, does not look good for the Christmas tree judging by Lola's reaction to the other decorations   Maybe Elsa can run some of the naughty out of her! Doubtful
Excellent picks of Thanksgiving the other day. Have to mention how cute William was chatting away in the video! :-D Such a nice looking family and the occasion looked very festive! I always love seeing family gatherings. Mine doesn't gather. Always wished I had come from a close knit family. Looks like so much fun :-D

It's nice to hear Bug is using Mannie's bed and that it does your heart good. Probably makes Mannie happy it's getting used too! :-D

I was one of the brave souls that ventured out to shop yesterday. Not fun. But better than it's going to be and I kept that in mind!

Have a wonderful day today and enjoy your morning with the boys!

Good Morning, Michelle,

I guess that you all had a great Thanksgiving and it looks like you had a nice, relaxing day yesterday. The photos of your walks are beautiful. The sunrise looks pretty spectacular, even if you weren't quite where you wanted to be at the magical moment. Is that a species of heron sitting on that pier?

It looks like Lola will be doing lots of redecorating this month. Looks like you will, too! So neat that Bug has adopted the last of Mannie's beds.

Elsa, THANK YOU, Kitteh Barista, for the great coffee this morning. It is so cold here and we really needed that coffee!!

Have a fine time today with the boys,

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

p.s. With regard to your question about snowshoes: I'm going to get the Tubbs, women's "Wilderness" snowshoes. Edward has the men's "Wilderness" and they are terrific. I particularly like the binding, because it is easy to get in and out of and you only have to adjust it once (unless you wear a different pair of boots). My present snowshoes (MSR Ascent) have great traction and are good in steep terrain, but the binding straps tend to pop out of their holes (always in crucial situations).

Hi Elsa, Bug and Lola, Thanks for coming to visit me in the city. The parade was great fun. I'm "at home" today. Come sit on my radiators and later we can play in the snow.
~Rusty

You don't even have to say her name and we know who "she" is.   Go Elsa! If you're chasing her, she's not destroying anything. Why not just call the little tree Lola's and be done with it? Have a great day, Michelle!
Liz

Hmmm... maybe keep all breakable ornaments off the big xmas tree at first, just in case... oh, I don't even want to say it! ;-)
Michelle, I love how Elsa gives Lola gentle reminders about who was there first. Go Elsa!
I also love that Bug sleeps in Mannie's bed. So sweet.
Enjoy your Caturday today!

I am going to look forward to "Lolas Christmas-Capades"
Hopefully you will have some stuff left at the end of the season
I love that Elsa lets Lola know who really is the boss ;-) And that Bug just loves all Mannies stuff ♥
Enjoy your day Michelle whatever you decide to do today!

I'm glad you had a nice, relaxing day yesterday. I hope today is good too.

Oh wow on Lola and the decorations. That's not surprising. It doesn't sound good for the Christmas tree.

How neat the Bug is using the last of Mannie's beds.

Hi Michelle. It sounds like you had a real nice day yesterday. Your hike and walk on the beach sounded real nice.

"The garlands were Lola-ized, but not too badly. She thought they made great things to run with, and Poor Santa lost part of his beard." How funny...poor Santa lost his beard. Hope Lola doesn't get coal for Christmas. Bug and Elsa seem to be happy sitting back and enjoying Lala getting in trouble. I'll bet Lola is going to LOVE the Christmas tree when you put it up.

Enjoy your time with the boys. Have a great day Michelle.

Hi Everyone! THANKS for all the visits. I am sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you. The day ended up being alot longer than I thought, but that too is OK. My DD and DSIL met dome friends at the movies, and then went out to lunch, all of which took most of the day. So I stayed with Nicholas and William while they had some time out with friends. I guess they saw the second movie in the Hunger Games movies series, and then lunch out at the Cheesecake Factory. It just occurred to me that they did not brig me home a slice of cheesecake ! HORRORS!  Probably just as well.... William and Nicholas and I had a great day together, just hanging out in their home. We played legos, and ate strawberries, rearranged the Christmas tree ornaments at least a thousand times (sorry mom! Nicholas was on a roll), and watched music videos , played more legs, ate more strawberries, and talked and laughed, and camped out on the sofa under piles of blankets. It really was alot of fun. How nice to have a relaxing day with the boys. I will post the Picassa link to the photos in tomorrow's condo. Have a great evening everyone!

Hi Kim, Elsa Says to let you know if she has more than enough ~O) She will be there for this evening's delivery very shortly! And I agree, Lola and the christmas tree!  I can only imagine what will go down here what's goes up. Too funny I know on Elsa maybe she can run some of the naughties out of her! But I agree it is doubtful.... Thanks so much on pics. Love the William vid - that one will be a talker! It is so indicative of what he is like these days. We had a great time together. I agree to Bug using Mannie's bed and how he is taking on so many of his characteristics. that it is really nice to see. Kudos to you for even attempting to shop yesterday! I can imagine not being much fun. Just very very busy! And you're right it probably was better yesterday and it will be a few weeks. Thanks on today, we had a great time.

Hi Ella, Thanks! We really did have a great Thanksgiving. All the family made it to which was really nice. Yesterday was okay. I did getting some walks and I did get some time just for myself just relaxing. That part was very nice. Thanks on the photos of the walks. The sunrise was really nice. The camera just doesn't do it justice! And a walk in the morning was great too, I was sorry I missed the sunrise, but I could see it through the trees. Its so hard to judge the timing on that sometimes. I needed about another 30 minutes. Oh well maybe next time! And I agree on a Lola. There is no doubt in my mind that she will be doing lots of redecorating. Although she has been a good girl today! Not too much just been rearranged. I think so too and Bug and the adoption of Mannie's bed . He's the only one that uses them, and it is fitting that it is him. Thanks on today the boys and I had a really great time! And thank you too for the information on the snow shoes. It's something that I am looking into taking up sometime soon. It just looks like a lot of fun and I would really like to try to be able to be out there, doing some of the snowy days in December. there are wonderful things are to be seen around here.
Auntie Ella, you are so welcome for your coffee this morning. I knew it was so cold and that hopefully you would would need a whole bunches, so I brought you lots. I hope you enjoy it! Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barisra
Rusty! You are so welcome! We had such fun in the big city. Mannie was so right! He always told us how good it was and that we had to come when we got the chance! We are on our way to camp out on your radiators. I so love your radiators! My mama be told me you had snow. we are really excited! We hope there's enough for snow forts and tunnels and snowballs! ~~ Elsa

Hi Liz, Too funny! Yes I can imagine that we don't even have to say her name everybody knows who I'm talking about! She is beginning to get quite the reputation! And I agree on it has been so cool to see Elsa chasing the others! She's getting to be a very senior girl it's nice to see that she could still go out and have some fun. I agree on the little tree! It just may end up being that way. The big tree will go out for another week or so much and I'm really leery of the whole process. We shall see how it goes. :o

Hi Josie, oh so agreed on the big breakable ornaments! I have a feeling that they will not make the tree at all this year. Our plan is to put the tree up one day, and see what happens. And we will go from there. I hope at least to get some lights on it! This is almost too funny cuz I really do know what's going to happen with this thing! And you're so right on Elsa. Every now and then she does let the others know that she is the senior matriarch, who's the boss, and who was there ibn the first place! It is really very sweet that Bug is sleeping in Mannie's bed. :-D Mannie had about three of them here and Bug is managed to find each one of them. Its really nice to see.

Hi Pam, I like that description: Lolas Christmas-Capades! Know I have something I can refer to, a name. I love the description! I so hope that there are some things left at the end of the season. So far today, she has been a very good kitty. I came home after being gone most of the day and everything was as it was when I left it. Imagine that! I think so toom on Elsa keeping Lola in line, in Bug lovin' Mannie's stuff. It does one's heart to see that Bug and Mannie are kindred spirits. Thanks on today, it was a fun time with the boys.

Hi Carla, thanks on yesterday it really was a great day. Today was great too! You're right, it's not surprising, and I know it does not sound very good for Christmas tree. In hopes are high that maybe amke the end of the season with the tree still intact lol! A big yes on Bug and Mannie's bed (s) I think it's great!

Hi John, we did have a very nice day yesterday. Those hjikes and walks on the beach are really very nice. I'm lucky to have them so close to the house. I couldn't agree more on Santa losing his beard!  It's made out of woven strands of yard, big loops and very thick. It is very easy for her to grab it with her paws, which she did. So Santa lost a portion of his beard! Haha and its so true on Bug and Elsa. They are very content just sit back and watch Lola. I have no doubt that Lola is going to love the tree! Oh my..... Thanks for today it was a great day.
