Good morning! Hope there is not too much snow out there. I am writing now in case you are watching for me, Robin. I decided not to test Squamee until her AMPS, her ears are getting a little ripped up lately. I have been sticking to one ear because I put the Pheno gel in the other. Gives me less space to prick, and she has pulled away a couple of times while I was pricking, and really bruised her ear. Poor Squamee, as if she didn't have enough! I am using Neosporin now and hoping her ears are better soon. I will post a test around 8:15 EST. Hope to shoot around 8:30. (my shooting has been getting later and later, and tomorrow morning I have to be out of here before 9, so things have to be moved earlier today)

Poor squamee! I hope her ears heal up! It just breaks my heart when charlie's ears are all bruised. I have noticed that I tend to bruise his left ear more than his right ear- I think it's how I hold him and because I'm a righty.

Good morning, I have been watching for you. The snow wasn't as bad as they predicted so far, they said 4 to 6 inches and so far we only have 1 to 2 inches, but it rained all day yesterday and that isn't good this far north in November so there is a layer of ice under the snow. Morning news is showing long slow commutes on most roads.

I only test Harley's left ear so I know how beat up they can get, his right just doesn't bleed, the neosporin will help.

Last night, PMPS 383 1U
+2.25 252

this morning
AMPS 484. Damn. But she has been eating a good amount on and off for the last 2 hours. I find myself reluctant to give more than 1U. What do you think? EDIT!!! 434, not 484

That commute wasn't nearly as bad as they made it sound on the news.

Judy, 484 is more the bg I was expecting to see last night because of the fast early drop yesterday, glad it was a typo and only 434, but still. Maybe it took her liver a little longer to react and actually it didn't react that bad. So don't panic too much.

I was always told not to shoot extra insulin into a bounce that it will clear by itself. Please chime in if others have a different opinion.

Have a great day.

I think it is just a matter of food in = BG up. My impression with H was when he really started eating it seemed to kind of compound over a period of days. Just my $0.02. Maybe you are just testing more than I did but I'm kind of taken at the seemingly immediate response to food she has. Maybe she just eats more in one sitting with less sittings. H was very much a grazer.

How's the appetite? Is she still eating turkey or replaced the turkey with equal food? If not then even more reason to reduce. .9u is my bid.

She has been eating FF beef and some 5 carb flovor of Friskies or 9 Lives (can't remember and threw out the can) all day. And this evening she had ---you guessed it---turkey! A few more days and it will be all gone. But I have to tell you, it does my heart good to see how much she likes it. So I know there is still some pleasure in her day.

Good try, Robin. But I already tried that! She has a nose for the pill that outdoes any radar. I think she has won this round and I am sticking with the transdermal gel. Every so often I put the pill on a plate with some kind of treat, but she totally ignores it.

What does a high flat curve indicate?
Not enough insulin or a rebounded curve where you weren't lucky enough to catch the rebound or the aftermath of a rebound [the next cycle sometimes]. That's all that pops into my brain right now.

You are not having this though.
