Last night I was worried about Kibby, as he was in hiding all day and into the night. At 12:15am I heard him in the LB, so I sat up to watch him. I noticed he no longer was wearing his cone!
But it was so obvious that was the reason he was so unhappy yesterday. Suddenly he was on the desk asking for food, he got on the bed to bathe and sleep - he was so much more comfortable and happy that I didn't have the heart to put it back on. So I got very little sleep, as every time I felt or heard him move or lick, I watched to make sure he wasn't messing with his drain. I did catch him occasionally licking the wound, but he wasn't pulling at the drain or anything, so I let him be. If I have to put one of the drooler's shirts on him until I can get him his own, I'll do that.
He goes to the vet at 4 this afternoon, but for now, I am btb!
