Good morning Lantus Land! Sending out more healing vines to Kibby, Tiggy, and any others who need them today.

Gracie tipped her toes in green last night but that was it. Just enough action to keep me up but Mike got up early today to do her T/F/S as he had to go to work so I got a couple hours sleep after +10. She is having a lovely day....spent early morning sunning herself on the catio. We already played "hide behind all the doors and jump out at mommy" which she loves to do. Now she and Tobey are following Lupita around as if to say you missed a spot!. Our little darlings.

My friend's service is in a couple hours. I'm meeting some of our other friends beforehand just to reconnect and there is a reception afterwards. I imagine I'll be gone most of the afternoon....that is if Gracie allows it. Carbing her up doesn't really work...it wears off too quickly and I'd sit and worry. So we'll see how the day pans out.

Hoping for another toe tip into the greens for you, Marje. Perhaps I should send Blackie your way so that Gracie can show her the ways of engaging in playtime. :lol: I'm not sure if it's a good service or a bad one that you'll be attending. Either way, sending tons of good thoughts your way. Be safe in your travels.

Very nice PM cycle for the Princess (when she's not being a little rascal). :lol: :lol: We are so lucky to have these kitties in our lives, aren't we? I'm glad you can go to at least part of the service to reconnect with friends. (((((Marje)))))

Marje, thinking of you today. That has to be hard losing a friend. Hoping Gracies's numbes are steady enough that you can reconnect with your friends and attend her memorial. Hugs.

Thank you all for your wishes. A very sad day. It made me reflect upon the fact that we all too often take people in our lives for granted. Not in a bad way....but we just assume they will always be there. My friend that passed, Kathy, and another friend, Tina, and I used to spend alot of time together before Kathy's dx but it seemed the times got a little farther apart. Kathy and I lost track of Tina...we knew she was still in Tucson but she changed jobs, houses, and phone number. I spoke with her today and her husband, Dick, who is 20 years older than her and is a Vietnam vet, was dx with a form of ALS last summer due to exposure to Agent Orange. He is quite mobile but can no longer speak or swallow and has a feeding tube. Tina and I promised to get together more often now but it will be sad without Kathy....we were a threesome and as Tina said today "and now we are going to her memorial service". :cry: :cry:

Just a few chores and I'll be back. I want to be sure I do not take any of YOU for granted.

I'm sorry you lost one of your threesome and glad that Gracie had a nice safe blue surf going for you. I hope you were able to visit for the time you wanted. I had an uncle who had ALS and we've always wondered how he got it. His wife may have also had it. Nasty disease.

Good evening Marje. I'm glad you were able to make the memorial service for your friend, Kathy. Having someone close to you pass does cause you to reflect on years past. I hope you and Tina will get together now and then. I'm sure Kathy would want you both to do that.

Gracie is starting her evening cycle off well. I hope she continues to surf the blue zone and maybe put her toe in the green zone once or twice.

I'm so glad Gracie stayed flat today, so you could attend the service and hopefully not worry about her while you were there. I'm glad you got to reconnect with Tina, and I hope you guys are able to find some time to spend together. It will be hard without Kathy, but I'm sure Kathy will be there in spirit, and in your hearts, and she will be happy you two are together again. Thinking of you.

Please accept our sincere sympathy on the passing of your friend. It was good that you were able to go to the service and to reconnect with your other old pal. We should take every opportunity and make every effort to see the people we love.
Edward spent the last few days writing an obituary for a dear friend who died several months ago. We were not able to get to his memorial service. We could have gotten together with him last spring, but there just didn't seem to be time, and we did not know that there would not be another time. It is awful to lose friends. We have lost 2 good friends this year.

Gracie looks awesome tonight. I guess she has broken her bounce. Rusty needs to break his now!

Hope your weekend will bring you some joy in remembering the great times you had with your friends,

So sorry that you've lost your friend Marje. It's very true that we take things for granted. Only when we loss it then we will feel the pain. I always believe that people met for a reason, we have to treasure the knowing of a friend. We all come to LL because of our sugar kitties, because of our babies we get to know each other. This is a miracle already.

Hi Marje. Gracie sure is in a hurry to get to a lower number for you. I hope she comes up just a little and surfs there for a while.
