+1.5 329

I think he is in a bit of pain today (and last night). I gave him some SEB with his AM meal. I think it is probably related to the pancreas. I don't know what else to do for him. I hate the way the pain meds make him so spacey - even the little dose that I give him.

Eating, mobile (but not enthusiastically). Poor baby.

@Osha

Has Osha only had the one episode of pancreatitis (on your signature)? Any on-going pain or symptoms? Do you use any pain meds on a regular basis?

Sending feel better vines and prayers for little Gizmo. Looks like he's bouncing from the blues and maybe a green 2 nights ago. Hope he slides down again soon.

She only had the one episode and hasn't had any symptoms since her stay in the ER. So she hasn't had any meds since May. (Anti jinx)

PMPS 255

Who knows what he did today - lol.

He is acting better at the moment - we will see how the rest of the evening goes.

Torbugesic Oral prescribed dose=0.5 - though I only give him 0.1-0.2.

BTW - I didn't give him any this morning.

ETA-What pain meds is Eleanor on?

I give Eleanor Bupranorphine. The dose is 0.1 but I usually start with half that, if she seems to still be in pain I'll give the remainder. I have never given her Torb, although I did give it to another of my cats, it made her very dopey and weird, she really scared me actually. Vet switched her to Bupranorphine and she did a lot better.

Yep. Exactly. I asked my vet why Torbugesic instead of Bup and she said something about Bup being expensive and that she preferred Torb instead. At the time I thought "I just spent almost $2,000 here with him in hospital and you are worried about an additional minor expense on meds?" :rolleyes: But I didn't push it. I think I will when I take him in for bloodwork.

How often do you give it to Eleanor?
