WCR: Blackie's doing ok, for the most part. Unfortunately, 2 days ago she peed on me while I picked her up. I'm hoping that was an isolated incident, however, something tells me to keep an eye on her incontinence a bit more. The hard poos outside the box I can handle; the peeing outside the box however... May be something that may bring up a red flag. I just don't know right now. I'm wiping her rear whenever she does anything as she doesn't clean herself anymore, and not to do so is unsanitary. She may, on occasion, try and wash her little face, but that's the extent of it. I brush her to hopefully bring some of those natural oils out.

In the meantime, I've increased her food to help her (hopefully) gain some of the weight back. The vet wants to see more weight on her. As it is, she's 9.66 lbs. as of this morning. She's lost a good amount over the last month and a half, or more. Neuropathy seems to be stabilizing for the most part. There are times when she wobbles a bit so I know her hind quarters aren't nearly as steady as they were before all of this started. Overall... I'm simply keeping an eye on her, and assisting her when she needs to go potty. We're also spending more lap time, and I enjoy every moment with her. A cat's life is extremely precious. And short.

She still walks around; definitely no more playing. She walks towards, and sometimes follows everyone else. It's funny to see, though. :-D The others know something's not right with her, and I try to break off any potential fights that may arise. At night, she stays in her cubby hole in the scratching post.

On another, more personal note... After reviewing our bank account yesterday morning prior to leaving the house, I found out that we've been robbed. I had written out a payment for my doctor's bill, and my hubby mailed it for me. The envelope was intercepted, and the check was stolen. The perpetrator made a copy of the check, somehow cleared everything off of it except my husband's name, our address, the bank #, the account #, and made it out to themselves for the amount of $156.00. The original payment was made out for $56.84, which was the amount to be sent to my doctor. The perp also tried to forge my husband's name, and I had signed the check. The forgery isn't a very good one. After speaking with the bank yesterday, we went to the area's police department and got a police report to fill out and bring back tomorrow. I will be heading to my husband's work to pick him up so that we can get the police report notarized at the bank, and then bring it to the police department, then drop him back to work. What really gets us both is that the bank didn't pick up on the fact that the signature isn't my husband's. They also failed to notify us of that, as well. We're both very upset about the whole thing. As it is, we signed up with Life Lock last night to hopefully protect our account from this point forward, as well as our credit cards, etc. Basically, we're not out just $156.00... We're out almost $500.

We also got the car back from the mechanic's on Friday after 3 weeks. The cam shaft sensor wasn't working, and it was a used one that was put in there. They had to replace it with a new one. In the process, the cam shaft broke, and again, they replaced it, but thankfully didn't charge us for it since it broke right there. And a couple of other things happened. It's been a very, unnecessarily expensive weekend.

Sorry for the vent, and for the too sensitive material. I'm pretty much at my wit's end right now, and needed to vent.. somewhere.

Sending tons of healing vines, positive thoughts, and prayers to whoever needs them.

MY WISH: For God to help heal the broken hearts of those who lost a beloved pet and/or human... For God to help those ailing make a full and speedy recovery... For everyone, including Blackie, to have great #s... For everyone, including Blackie, to be OTJ.

I'm glad Blackie's numbers are good so you don't have to worry about that. I hope the peeing this was an isolated incident. Sending more prayers for Blackie.

I'm sorry about the bank. They should have done more. I hope they are going to reimburse you for the money that was stolen. Vent all you need to. We're here for you and Blackie. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Lots of vines for Blackie. You know she's a special little girl to many of us. She's got a pretty special mamabean, too.

Sorry about all the hassle with the check and car. Seems to me the bank should be a little culpable for the forgery. I mean, it's really a bite that they didn't even notify you. And we're family here, you know. If you gotta blow a little steam, we'll listen. And sympathize.
