Beau surfed in the yellow last night. Today seems to be pretty flat so far. Will be increasing dose to 2.25u tomorrow morning as I need to catch up on sleep a bit.

Noticed he had a mild head tremor/ear twitching this morning after test/shot, it a happened about 3 times and each episode lasted varying ~ 5-30 seconds. Not sure what this is and if it's related to his neuropathy recently developed? I did take a video but not sure how to post that. He seemed fine during +5 check-up. Will be monitoring closely tonight.

I doubt that it's related to the neuropathy.

I'd suggest posting the video on the Health board and sending it to your vet. I'd want someone who knows what they're looking at to see the video.

When I read your condo yesterday, it struck me that what's happening to Beau is what is happening to Champ (has been almost since his FD diagnosis in March). Champ has extremely wobbly front legs. I've posted many times here about it and no one could come up with anything. I had Champ on Xobaline for months and it never changed the leg tremors. The leg tremors got so bad, I sometimes wondered how he could stand or sit...they just wobbled so badly. I took him to the vet and was told that it was probably pain reaction from arthritis. I started him on Dasuquin, which is supposed to be the pumped up version of Cosaquin, and it seemed to help to a degree. There was still wobbliness, but it didn't get worse and some days it seemed better. I also noticed a head tremor on occasion and twitching around his eyes. My next step, when I can afford the trip to the vet and the med, is to get Champ started on Adequan. My vet suggested this as a next step and I know a lot of kitties have had great success with it. Since I already give insulin shots, it's not going to be a hardship to give an extra injection. It can be given subcu successfully, though some think it has to be intramuscular. If your kitty has arthritis, he is more than likely traversing the same path as Champ. My suggestion, since I'm pretty sure Dasuquin or Xobaline isn't going to fix the problem for you, is to get Beau started on Adequan. I'll bet he'll be a new man-kitty before you know it!

Just to tack on to what Patty said about adequan (and what I mentioned last night), while you do need a script for it, you can find Adequan online for very reasonable prices. I know I saw it somewhere online (I'm sorry I can't remember where) for half of what my vet was charging. Just something to keep in mind.

I'm sorry I have no input on the head tremors, though...I hope you get it sorted out!
