Good Morning, Everyone,

Today is the last day of Rusty's ear meds! YAY!!! I have decided to do a full day (morning and evening) to make up for what may have been a too-little application last Tuesday, the first day of the meds. I haven't caught Rusty scratching behind his ear lately, so hopefully the meds are working. I wonder how long it will take for his bgs to return to something resembling "normal" after the last dose of ear drops tonight?
We had a good night. We didn't do the time change to Standard Time in increments this year because Rusty's bgs were already whacky owing to the corticosteroid in the ear drops. Also, he hasn't wanted to get out of bed these cold mornings, so we just jumped right back into Eastern Standard Time in one fell swoop. It was nice to have it light at 6:15!! We had a good test, shot, breakfast, lung treat, schmooze, and ear treatment. Then a combing/brushing. Rusty is enjoying sunshine today (the first sunny day in almost a week, but cold: 22 degrees this morning). The predicted snow never arrived.

Wishing all a good day and continuing to send healing vines and good thoughts to kitties and beans who are not feeling well.

Good WCR on Rusty this morning. I wouldn't want to get out of bed either with those temps..BRRRRRR!!

Yippee on ending ear meds!! I loved the early light this morning too :-D :-D

Not sure how long it takes the steroid to get out of Rusty's system, but hope it is quick. He is a smart kitty wanting to stay in bed a little longer. If only we all could! :lol: :lol:

I hope Rusty's numbers get back on track quickly after his last dose of ear medication. I'm glad Rusty seems to be doing good this morning despite the higher numbers.

Hi again,
It was a promising AMPS, but we've jumped up since then. PINK!! Rusty will be thrilled not to have to take the ear meds after tonight! He spent the afternoon in his perch, soaking up the sunshine.

Today we had cold weather and some nice sunshine, so, after watching the NYC Marathon, Edward and I went for a walk on some of the trails in the VIC. Beautiful late fall colors (all the deciduous leaves are down). There was a dusting of snow and ice over there and even some skim ice on the water. It won't be long now!! Tomorrow we''re going on a paddle. Low tonight is supposed to be in the teens. I hope we'll be ice-free. We won't start until 10:30 A.M.

I just know he will be so happy not to have any more eardrops. Hope he cured.
Our leaves are all pretty colors too. My burning bush is so red right now.

Hi again,
A pretty depressing trend of numbers for Rusty. Tonight, in an hour, the last ear drops!! I sure hope he begins to come down tomorrow.

I am sorry Rusty's numbers are so wonky. Yay that today is the last day of the meds. I hope you will see a return to normal Rusty numbers tomorrow. Paws crossed.

Nice on not having to mess with the time change. SO much easier, and you are right - I will not have made much difference for Rusty anyways.

enjoy your paddle tomorrow. I will hope that it is ice free. Your hike today sounds very nice.

I am also glad this is the end of Rusty's ear drops. I hope his little ears will all be better now and he can get back to business on the lower floors. Give Rusty lots of scritches from me.

It's great Rusty is done with the ear drop!
I hope he gets back on track and to his usual lagoon soon.

Thank you for your info on the hairball remedy yesterday, as well as your comment on my kitties' lab today.
They are very helpful.
I bought the same hairball remedy, and will try tonight.

Thank goodness those ear meds are over! And who kidnapped the lagoon meister and replaced him with the master of stinky pinky? ohmygod_smile

Tomorrow is another day, and paws crossed the colors are cooler and calmer.
 
Thanks for visiting. Rusty is lower tonight. It's COLD (19 degrees already at our house, 11 degrees "officially" in Saranac Lake). We've cancelled the paddle!
