So we got some bad info yesterday, but Luna is still doing well. The hematocrit is holding around 13.5%. The reticulocytes are registering in the high range now, so the body is trying to get the red blood cells up. We should see some improvement soon.

They upped her food to 29ml and she finally had a bowel movement for the first time in over a week.

Potassium dropped a little down to 4.0 but they think it will be ok after she gets off the insulin drip.

Should get results from another electrolytes test today, but the next big blood test we'll get tomorrow morning.

Discharge tomorrow is probably unlikely, but still hoping for early this week.

Some good news from our visit tonight. Luna's Potassium went back up to 4.4 after it had previously dropped when they reduced her supplements. We saw the print out to confirm this time. Anxious to see the full blood test tomorrow to see if that red blood cell count finally went up. I have a suspicion we'll see something good because the potassium moved back up on its own. Her regular doctor is back, so we should get an update pretty early.

...And then she peed on the bed in the visiting room because it was the only square thing on the floor and she thought it was a litter box. We got them to bring in some pads and a little litter box just in time for the rest of the show. I'll spare everyone the details but we were real excited everything seemed to be working and she was able to climb into the litter box on her own. After we cleaned up, she walked around for a while which is the first time we saw her walk since last Friday. She kept trying to crawl under furniture in the visiting room, so we wrapped her up in her new favorite blanket and she slept hard until we had to leave. I'm going to visit in the morning and then again at lunch. My wife gets the night shift. We really hope she can come home Tuesday.
