Good morning,

Shasta woke me up about 40 minutes before my alarm this morning...and she knows exactly how to do it...start nibbling on my otter box/iPhone! Sassy cat!!! I shoo'ed her away and laid in my nice warm bed. Oh Thursday! So besides wanting food this morning, she was chatty and leg twirly. Got a few purrs this morning. Oh yeah, there was not only pee in the LB, but POOP! My little afternoon pooper surprised me! :lol: Not much preening, but a little and mama is the worst at playing in the morning. :sad:

So, last night, after reading about Mowgli, I am now fearing (more than usual) that Shasta has cancer. I don't know why, but like everyone says...you shouldn't do too much research on the Internet or you'll talk yourself into every disease. I feel like the world's worst hypochondriac. :YMSIGH:

Hope everyone is doing ok today. Anyone win the Powerball?!?!?! :-D

Good morning Deborah - yeah, reading on the internet is terrible, because it seems that there are always more articles and references to the bad stuff. Try not to get caught up in it. Congrats on the early poopie! But not so much on the early morning play and wakeup call.

I was seriously thinking Powerball, and I usually don't play. Wow. Have a great day!

I hope your day is wonderful. And prayers that your worry about Shasta is unfounded. I'm with you on the internet. If you read enough, you can have every single disease ever invented.

How sweet of Shasta to make sure you were up today! :lol: Our civvie licks the walls about 15 mins before the alarm because she knows it will get a reaction. Why she thinks a shoe flying at her through the air is a good reaction, I'll never know. :lol: I'm no good at playing the morning either. Luckily I live with a whole crew of non-morning people and fur kids.

I didn't win so I am sitting here at tbp wondering what to do with my life. Have a great day Deborah!!

Hi Deborah, I know with the too much reading on the Internet. You were talking about flea treatments yesterday, and I'm looking for one for next season of fleas. Hopefully they're all gone. I used Vectra last time on Mags, and I think it made her feel loopy the next day. The spray that, was it Pip, mentioned yesterday in your condo sounds like a good alternative. Maggie is complete indoors, but still gets them! Have a great day. I love Shasta's playfulness in the mornings. :lol: Mags gets playful after prezzies.

Hi Lisa, I know, I know...the internet is bad. I just hate not being able to see inside of her at every second and I really hate that she can't tell me when and where she hurts...and a few meows and hisses don't answer those questions for me! :YMSIGH: Who needs Powerball when we have kitties?! :-D Hope Leo was a good boy today!

Hi Mary, no Powerball for me, either...guess it helps to actually play, huh?! :lol: Hope Oliver was well behaved today!!!

Oh Melissa, there have been a few times in my teaching career that she has SAVED my butt by waking me up...or should I say "re-waking" me up. Hit snooze a few times and then somehow turned it off and finally Shasta had enough of that and was hungry, so she woke me up FOR GOOD! :lol: :lol: Praise that little alarm clock cat! Regarding Powerball...money is highly overrated. Would just like enough to take care of me, cat, horse and my family. Don't need a big house...unless I really do become the crazy old cat lady and then I need more space for my cat ranch!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi Ann, glad to know that I'm not the only indoor cat owner to have a flea problem!! Either that or she has skin allergies?! ugh! Silly kitty just got me with her big old tooth! So much for playing "sassy hand!" Now it's band aid hand. :roll: Hope Maggie was playful today!!!! ;-)

I'm with you on the worrying. nailbite_smile don't have to have internet options to do that.
Mowgli got me started too.
I know there will be something ... someday... and ever since Sienne told me that cancer can bring on remission.... @-)
But all I can do is watch .. and watch... and pray (shadow had an inflitrative lipoma a couple of years ago and now she has a tiny lump under her
jaw which I will have to take her to the vet)

Cats? Children? there's always something.... :lol: :roll:

Shasta looks like she might dip some toes into some green....

Rhiannon, you just reaffirmed my fears. :YMSIGH: I know that she will die someday from something, but I'm not ready (and probably never will be.) God bless the people around me when she goes or worse yet, when a family member passes...I'm a sobbing fool...uncontrollable sobbing. This is yet another reason I have never wanted children of my own...I wouldn't be able to keep them safe 24/7. I worry enough for my family, pets and students. :YMSIGH:

Please try not to worry about Shasta having cancer. Typically, when a FD has cancer, the BG drops and stays down because the cancer is using the excess sugar. There was a really good example of a cat who got cancer and immediately went OTJ but his bean, who had been around a long time and stirred the pot alot, got banned from FDMB so I can't link his SS.

We didn't win the lottery either. Mike says the lottery is a ax on people who are bad at math :lol: :lol: :lol: but at that amount....who cares about the odds?
