Heading back up again, but not fast.

Remember, when insulin sensitivity returns it applies to both the L and the R, and R is a sledge hammer.

Caution - One very real pitfall of using R is getting caught up in a self perpetuating endless loop of ups and downs of your own creation. It happens innocently enough; you see an ugly number and you naturally want to shoot it down. With the shifting insulin needs what gave the desired result of keeping a lid on things suddenly takes a kitty down farther and/or faster than they are accustomed to which triggers a bounce. The natural reaction is to grab the R and before you know it you are riding the endless R roller-coaster, chasing numbers and trying to control both the highs and lows.

At the time of my last R scale, created 1 month before the IAA started to break, on top of 13.5uL I would shoot 5uR at a high yellow PS and another 5uR if he was still high yellow at +6. I did this both AM and PM. One week after the IAA started breaking I put the sledge hammer away and BK had his first R free day, which was followed by another, another, and another...11 days after the break started he earned his first L decrease of 0.5u after dipping under 50 for the first time. It would be another year before he went OTJ and in that year I could probably count how may times I used R on one hand.

Oberons L dose is down to 65% of the 10u high on November 4. Maybe consider a similar reduction to your R scale?
