Neko is an inside the house cat today. It's sunny today but there snow outside on the ground and on the solarium roof :shock: . We got a couple inches last night. She's never been fond of the white stuff and the neighbourhood is full of the sounds of shoveling. And it looks like it's snowing as it is being blown off the tall trees nearby. I remember one year Neko was so frightened of the first snow fall, that she wouldn't eat her dinner in her regular place that's by a window. :o Yes, that was surprising even before she got acromegaly.

Happy Carturday everyone and a big special Happy Birthday to Julie who does so much for us here in LL. :YMHUG: I've been tasked with making a hummingbird feeder glass cover. It froze overnight and the hummers hovered in the window telling us about it.

Gorgeous day for Soul Sista! So funny that she also does not appreciate the grooming but Theo does. It looks like she is starting to settle into this dose very nicely!

Brrr....snow....brrr. Hope you got the hummingbird feeders fixed. How odd that all but one of our species here migrates to Mexico for the winter. And yours stay there? Wow!!!
 
Another lovely day for Neko. She proved me wrong by asking to go outside before dinner when I was putting the new fleece cover on the hummingbird feeder glass. She only walked from one side of the deck around the corner to the other side, but she had to walk on snow to do it. It was kitty ankle deep. :lol:

@Carla, Ella, Marje - Our Anna's hummingbirds just started staying year round a few years ago. We are at the northern most end of their range. The more common rufous hummingbirds headed south in August. I ended up bringing in the feeder for overnight. It's -6 Celsius so plenty cold to freeze. The fleece cover will help keep it thawed enough during the day. And the feeder is at the window near Neko's Otto so provides entertainment while she waits.
