Frip is doing good today.. cat_pet_icon

I started giving him 'Drops' twice daily. 'Drops' means that the plunger is aligned to the top of the 0.0 line. I also reduced the (DM dry before bed time) to 1.5 tbsp for this week. I'll reduce it by 0.5 tbsp each week.

My other kitty Gripet is getting exploratory surgery today to see if he has something blocking his stomach/digestive system.. His blood test results were all good cat_pet_icon We have to find out why he stopped eating a week ago... nailbite_smile
 
My Frip lost his brother today.. The exploratory surgery revealed that Gripet had a big bleeding cancerous tumour in his stomach after all. I decided to let him go without waking him back… I didn’t want him to hurt anymore… I’m so sad right now… I can't stop crying... I may not be around for a while...

You did the most unselfish thing, to keep Gripet from being in pain. I know it causes YOU a lot of pain, but he is comfortable.

I am so sorry for your loss and so sad for you and Frip. Those of our kitties waiting at the Bridge will welcome Gripet and keep him safe and unafraid until the rest of his family are there to join him.

My civvie Domino went the same way some years ago from a tumor in the gall bladder. I couldn't let her wake up and be in pain, and suffer either.

(((((Sylvie & Frip))))) I am so sorry to hear about Grip. You did a very compassionate thing by letting him go and sparing him more pain. Our GAs are with him now and may it comfort you to know that they will take very good care of him. He'll always be there with you and his brother. Love never dies.

Sylvie I am so sad about Gripet and sorry for your pain and loss. Sometimes the most loving and caring acts bring so much sorrow, this is one of those times. Grip has passed from this place of physical pain to one of relief where he is well again. You will be united again in the mean time he will be around you. I know that your memories will help to ease your pain in the days to come. You've earned your wings Grip fly high and free. wings_cat

Sylvie and Frip....I'm so sorry to be a day late in sending our condolences but we are so very, very saddened for you and Frip. We hope that Grip had a gentle journey as he transitioned. He was a lucky boy to have so much love.
 
I'm so sorry for your sudden loss. Much better to let them go without waking them up when something like that is found.

I'm so sorry you had to say goodbye to Gripet. How difficult that must have been. He is free from any future pain and suffering.

Thank you all so much for your kind words of support… I’m not able to write much right now. The loss of my Gripet was so sudden and unexpected; he was my ‘healthy’ kitty. His yearly checkup in April was really good and even his blood tests this week-end were all good. I hate cancer.. :cry:

Frip is starting to look everywhere around the house and in the backyard, poor baby; he doesn’t know what happened to his brother. I don’t know how to ‘explain’ it to him. I’m supposed to have Grip’s Urn before the week-end. Don’t know how I will manage to get in the vet’s office again to pick him up.

I will probably start condos again this week-end or next week… I may post in the Grief section eventually when I’m able to.
