Here's another post that I found for you, some great info from Jill, one of our most experienced members. She passed away, but is still with us in so many ways.

It talks about things you can try to flatten the curve out, which can in some cats help with the bouncing. It is something that I applied when George was on insulin.

I read them all. These information are incredibly interesting and useful!! I've noticed already the significant impact of many meals to Chnoudi's drops. But still, I can experiment more with food..now with the new dose.
Thank you, you are wonderful!

That's quite a bump up, either she is really carb sensitive and gets a big 'food bump' or she's going to bounce.
At +1 the shot will not have onset yet, but she will have absorbed some of the food, this means that we see a rise in numbers at +1, some cat's are more sensitive than others to carbs so you see bigger food bumps with some cats than with others. George, for example, was not carb sensitive, so we didn't usually see a big rise by +1, in George a rise like this would have me thinking he was starting a bounce. But I know other cats where this sort of bump might be normal for them at +1. You just have to learn, how Chnoudi responds. With all the data you are getting it is just a matter of time before you figure it out.
My guess is the latter, she dropped quite a lot and fast in the early part of the cycle from 360 to 221.

I would get either a +2 or a +3 whatever fits best with you, that will confirm bounce or food bump. Take things from there. On the plus side her bounces don't seem to last long/

I'm glad you enjoyed the reading. :)

My instinct says that this is a bounce and she isn't carb sensitive. When I changed the food to lc, there was not a huge difference in her numbers and maybe this is a hint. But it still needs clarification. We will see....

Still going up, but not rocketing.
Hope she stays in the yellows,
Perhaps check just before you go to bed just to make sure she doesn't throw you any surprises.

If for some reason she were a lot lower at that test, you might want to set an alarm and check on her again before amps. It doesn't seem likely that she will do that....but you never know.

Good night

Be a good girl chnoudi.

(Is your BF's cat on a wet diet? Or does he have dry food? )

Haha OK!! I ll check now. It's +3 and I just lay down. If it's lower, I ll set an alarm clock.
No, he is on wet food like Chnoudi. I wanted them to eat the same type and I ve stopped dry food completely.
