Yesterday Butters was high and flat. Today, Butters is going to be flat and high, from the looks of things.
She's doing fine, otherwise.

This morning is cycle 4 of 2.375. Should I see how today and tonight go, and then if she is still high, take a .25u increase tomorrow. I hate the thought of hammering her very sensitive self with increases in quick succession, but she was also at the vet recently, had labs done, and she is getting proper pain management. Things are relatively under control (lab results are still to be discussed though, so I do believe that the likely cause of the high numbers is that she just needs more insulin. I'm fairly certain she isn't in a bounce.

I'm still pretty new at dealing with the DM/Pancreatitis combo. So, if anyone has time to give me your thoughts I'd appreciate it. :bighug:
Thanks!

I would increase after 6 cycles. So that would be tomorrow morning unless today or tonight tells you otherwise. You will eventually break this cycle.

Hi Lyla I hope if you decide to increase that Butters BG will start to come
down. I'm just god to hear she's not in pain and the meds are doing the job.
I hope you have a good day ♥:bighug::cat:

I would strap on my patience pants and wait to see what the end of six cycles tells you. It was only 6 days ago you got the 40's on this dose. You know Butters does her best work at nights. ;)

Thanks so much for the early input! :bighug:My patience pants have either been donated or are threadbare. But I wasn't planning to increase before tomorrow morning. I just like to be prepared. :)

Some daytime work would be appreciated. :)
I didn't think she'd drop so dramatically that night (well, morning). And as usual, she got a snack at +9. yet she still dropped. Now it looks like the reduction simply didn't hold. .25u reductions never used to hold for Butters. I guess they still don't.
