ohmygod_smile I mean, test at +14 LOL.... if he is still around the 60s you might want to test in the next hour too....
don't forget, you are in control with the food. Once you get that feeding syringe, you will be able to give him the gravy only. Solid food makes them too full to eat any more. And as you saw, you might need to raise the numbers again and again.
At 4am one night in the beginning, Shadow just stared at the food. I thought I wold die! he looked at is as if he didn't recognize it. He was in the area of 40 or so...I grabbed the syringe and was able to get gravy into him. But boy, is it lonely and dark at 4am with a cat in the 40s! :lol: To this day, he doesn't really eat when he is that low. My trusty syringe!!
If the HC gravy doesn't raise him quick enough or high enough, I add a drop of karo to the gravy.
The important thing is to test often so you can see where they are going. they sometimes wobble and go low after all your work! But once you test and get 2 or 3 rising numbers, you are all set till the bounce comes and you curse the pinks!
