Yesterday's 11/28/11 Condo: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=57481

Hi All: Can you please look at my addition to yesterday's condo? It starts out in red font regarding Lantus and SQ fluids. If anyone has any info/instructions, it would be helpful for future reference. I had an emergency with OTJ Clarky last night, so I couldn't update my subject line (in a timely manner), like some of you suggested. Thanks so much. Deb

Thanks! Your "Buddy" Binks is pretty darn cool too! :-D

Marilyn was originally just Marilyn Munster. Back in 1998, when I was treating 16 eyes (8 kittens) twice a day, I kind of "lost" one of hers...so I added the "Monroe" to make her feel extra "purrty"! The other 15 eyes pulled through. Marilyn was a litter of four. I still have her brother, Wolfy Munster.

Clarky has a black triangle on his chest, and is able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. His nickname is Jethro Bodine; although it's rarely used any longer. He earned "Jethro" by chasing fox, and not fully understanding the difference between prey and predator. What have we learned here? Answer: Apparently I am a product of 1960's television.

I believe with Lantus you want to give fluids on the opposite side of where you give insulin. You can swap sides with each shot but give the fluids on the opposite side of the insulin.
