Yesterday was two nice cycles for Zener - it'd been a while! He did great. Peeing is much reduced. He does seem to be a little more carb sensitive than he has been, in that the 17% is slowing things down now and didn't seem to before. We'll see what today brings. No point in planning anything. :lol: :lol: :lol: Zener is btb so no office assistant this morning. All errors are my own. Thinking of Jill and DH, Charlie (doing great!), Tawny (great pictures of her eating, link in yesterday's condo) and others who are ailing. Have a good Monday LL.

ETA: Here is a picture from last night when Zener and Tillie were helping Anne with the condo. They are both on their own heating pads on the bed. :smile:

Morning, and OH WOW on the +1.5. Zener.... no need to bounce so high. :roll: Come on back down, OK? I hope the bounce is a short one... Sure were some nice cycles yesterday - very very nice. I love days like those.

Nice day for Zener yesterday. Hopefully those numbers will start heading in the right direction today!!!

Great picture of Tillie and Zener supervising Anne with the condo. Personally, I think I would love my own heated bed, too :lol: !

Thanks Jaq, Linda, Michelle, Amy & Devon for stopping by to encourage the big guy and to admire the heating pads! After things settle down this week, we'll have more time to visit condos and reply individually.

When we have a mega bounce like this one today, it helps to have such wonderful support. Our Thanksgiving guest leaves tomorrow and all will be back to kitty normal, so we are hoping Zener's numbers will come down again then.

Hi Anne, I love the pics of Zener and Tillie helping you with your condo! :-D I'm interested in those heating pads. Did you buy online? I saw heated beds and almost ordered one, but I love those heated pads. Zener please come down here and join Maggie. She may even share her FF T & G, but just a little!

my burning question is this: are there assigned seats on the heating pads? everyone always has their own or do the kitters mix things up now and then?

We have paws crossed the big guy gets off this trampoline. We were not surprised considering yesterday's two lovely cycles in a row, so we are choosing to consider this a "double bounce" - which we just made up - so we don't feel so down. ;-)

@Melissa - we agree with ugh and the "no more bounces" philosophy, but he doesn't listen to us! :shock:

@Ann - glad you like the picture, aren't they big helps? We've bought three heating pads and the two the kitties like the best came from an online place in Arkansas called Cat Claws. We bought an indoor/outdoor heating pad from our local feed store, where we get pet food, but it is not their favorite.

@Jaq - we don't know why the guy likes to bounce so much, and thanks for telling him it's not the place to be! :smile:

@Julie - here are the answers to the burning questions. :lol: We have three heating pads, the two on the bed that are in the picture, they move back and forth sometimes, but prefer the ones they are on in the pic. The one that is in our front window they both will sit on, but never at the same time! :roll:

We hope everyone had a nice holiday and survived the Monday after! Liz and I have been up to our eyeballs with kitties and our guest, so are dreadfully behind on what's been happening in LL. We'll get caught up this week.

We are delighted to see Zener out of "the color that shall not be named". You know it's been a bounce when you are happy to see pink! :lol: We were a bit late getting a +1, so were pretty surprised to see 100 point drop in 1.5 hours. We upped the carbs in this mini meal from his regular 8% to 11%, so hopefully he won't bounce in this bounce - is that even possible? :shock:

Tillie, our civvie, is currently curled up on her heating pad as per pic posted today. Zener is in his alternate man cave under my desk and not on a heating pad at the moment. No increase in PU/PD today, despite high numbers.

Love the heating pads-- I have radiant heat with the heating pipes under our floors..So, the
cats always had their own heating pads, the whole house!!--Moonie loves any warmth anytime anywhere..

We are trying to keep the Z man from having a big dramatic drop to maybe control some of his bouncing, so still a bit of 11%. He's getting pretty close to dipping those paddy paws in some yellow! :-D

We sure didn't like the AM cycle, and are delighted he is coming down in this cycle already after the big bounce. We used a bit of 11% carbs early to try to slow the drop and are now back to his regular 8%. His appy has been okay today, despite the high numbers and no noticeable increase in PU/PD. We have paws crossed this dose is going to do some good things for the big guy.
