Things are looking better for Webster. He did dropped off between +2 and +4. After eating a few bites, hes up to 101. I'm hoping that he continues to cruise along.

hi Mike, I saw your question to Marje yesterday about whether or not Webster was bouncing last night. When you have a fairly normal nadir and then you're up to high 300's a couple of hours later that's a pretty good sign it's probably a bounce. You do want to try to get at least one test in before you go to bed. That would have probably confirmed a bounce.you can also look at yesterday's daytime cycle and see that he went straight up from amps to pmps. That means he didn't have an ordinary start higher at pre shot decline to nadir and rise to next pre shot type of cycle.

The good news is the bounce last night let you sleep. :-D

Thank you for the explanation. So what do you think about today? Once again, it started lower, dropped off a bit and then it's been a steady climb. Another bounce or a recovery from a previous bounce? I have been feeding him an ounce every hour or so, trying to prevent him from eating all of his food in the first 2 hours of the day.

he's got a basically normal cycle today. He did rise a lot by+10/380 - but the question is, is that the beginning of a bounce or is it that his insulin isn't getting a long enough duration in his body. Some cats get as little as 8 hours duration from the Lantus. It's hard for me to tell for Webster at this point.

If you can get a pm cycle test it will likely answer it.

These won't be the first plotting kitties we've had here. I'm hoping for a good cycle for Webster tonight. Most of the numbers were really good. Oh, and I hope your kity cooperates as well Mary.
