Hubby's out of town deer hunting and wont be home until Thursday, I am here alone with 2 kitties, I figured, its cozy and warm, why not! lol

I did finally get dressed and went out to eat dinner. :smile:
 
She'a 216 at the +1. I certainly didn't expect to see YELLOW today! Is it from feeding her gravy??? :sad:

After her PM Shot she had 2 teaspoons of LC.
 
Hi Rebecca - It is a bounce from her earlier lows. "panicky liver" plus the gravy. Her liver pumps hormones into her bloodstream as a response to her green numbers. Those bounces diminish over time as Star's system gets more used to healthy BG values. We call it Liver Training School.

You've done a great job with her the last couple days. sure glad it happened on a weekend, huh?
 
Nope -- the yellow isn't from the HC. What happened is that Star isn't used to being in normal numbers for so long as well as from that 43. Her liver had a bit of a panic and dumped a stored form of glucose and counterregulatory hormones into her system and the numbers bounced up. This can take as long as 72 hours to clear but hopefully it will take much less time.
 
Panicky Liver is my new least favorite phrase. WHEW. Seriously, what they put us through!?!?! ohmygod_smile nailbite_smile

Yes, a weekend was a gift. I wouldn't have risked it otherwise. I'm a "crash-a-phob"!!!

I think we both need a round of liver training school. Clearly didn't see that coming. Well, at least I can sleep and not worry tonight.

She seems well this evening. She's doing some extra sleeping and plenty of purring. I'm going to see if she'll have a pee for me before lights out.
