Good Morning, L&LL,
Today is a special day: the 7th Annifursary of Rusty's arrival at his forever home! On 28 Nov. 2010 we drove to Kingston Ontario and met Linda (@Linda and Bear Man ). She had kept Rusty overnight at her home in Toronto during his journey via a DCIN car-relay from Detroit. Rusty is one lucky kitty. Here is his story: He was found wandering the streets of Plymouth MA in Nov. 2008, picked up by Animal Control and taken to a shelter, where he was found to be diabetic. His luck continued when he was fostered for over 2 years by Claudia (@cjleo ), adopted by Phoebe and Charlie, who loved him so much that they arranged for him to be re-homed because of a conflict with their other kitties. That's when Diabetic Cats In Need (DCIN) made all the arrangements for him to be adopted by Edward and me and set up the car-transport relay across Ontario. We are forever grateful to all of these wonderful beans, and to Venita of DCIN for facilitating Rusty's adoption and getting him HOME!
Here he is at breakfast this morning. Older, wiser, skinnier, but healthy, and the most loving kitty imaginable.
