Hi, Lantus Lads, Ladies & Cool Kitties!

It's Binks...
asking you & your beans for a huge favor that will warm some hearts this holiday season.
Some of you know...and some may not- that you kitties play a big role in cheering up the folks at the nursing home where
my Auntie Tam lives.
Let me just say...THEY LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
they know your names, your stories...and many of them have pictures of you up in their rooms.
(some of you get argued over :lol: )

We all know the holiday season can be lonely times for some...
so my bean and I went out and got boxes of kitty christmas cards (none of them as pretty as Lantus Kitties, of course)
What we'd like permission to do is to put each of your names on a card to give to a resident...
and the home has offered to put up a big "card tree" just for our cards! How cool is that?!

If this is something you're not comfortable with, please shoot me a pm and we will understand... :-D

OH PLEASE DO!!! You can add 'Extra hugs' also from all KT's brothers and sisters - if your hand doesn't give out first... :-D

Ooh ooh ooh, Checkers want to send a card too. He wishes his Aunty Tam (anyone who's a aunty of Binksy is a Aunty of his) a very Happy Christmas.
He also wants to be there when his Aunty Celi throws a big Christmas party, with dancing furgirls. *wink* :-D
 
Trixie is always happy to spread the joy. If you want to include the rest of the herd, Mario, Frankie, Noah, Petey, and Zen are very festive, too!
 
Binksy!!! Great idea and Tobes and me want to give cards, too!!! You can puts our pictures and if you needs some cuter ones, tell my bean. You tink dey like my stink eye picture or a better one wheres I look like sweet Lil Stinka/Lil G Money?? You need more bush baby pics of Tobes??

What a kind and caring idea, Celi. We'd be honored.
 
I don't know how you think of an idea like this, but it just shows you have an absolutely awesome heart!!! Champ would be proud to be included!!
 
I absolutely love this, Celi!! Willie says he'd be honored to have his picture printed as well... and because it is such a good cause, he'd even allow one with Herbie in the shot as well. :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
It would be great to have the sugar cats remembered this Christmas (maybe some would like to buy a calendar??). Have at it - and I hope many a smile is generated. ps - did you tell the story of me trying to drown Josie last summer.... :)

punkin says he'd be happy to autograph anything you'd like. he and anya were just saying they hope people will notice how lovely their tails are. :lol:

what a sweet idea celi! use anya/punkin's pic, story, videos, whatever you want. if i post it, it's public.
 
:-D :-D :-D Tess is so thrilled to be included! She wants to remind Dorothy, that she has a full photo album to pick from in the FDMB Gallery. Ooo, is there going to be a card form Dorothy too? :lol: :lol:
 
Celi, what a wonderful thought! Maggie would be so excited and honored to have her name added on the Christmas card. You're so right as the holiday season can be so lonely for those in a nursing home, and it's amazing the change when a pet comes to visit. How is Tam doing since the loss of her friend?
 
I'm in! Giving them drooly head butts, just like I give my mom every day :-D

My GA dog brother Merlin, a retired racing greyhound, used to go to visit a home with mom. They say it was great.

Celi please add Ollie to your list....I am honored to have him included! What a sweet idea, you are a very caring person! Ollie would love to visit and I bet he would curl up on many laps given the chance. I'll look for a photo if you want one.

I know you lighten and brighten my heart with your posts and pixs and I see you do that for many! :YMHUG:

Tinkerbell and Tawny would love to be included! So would their million (OK 14, (I think, sometimes I lose count); good thing I live out in the boonies) feline bros & sisters, the 3 droolers they try to pretend don't live here too, and even their horses Fancy & Bandit if you want to add them too! I have added some personal info about some of them you might find interested to use if you want. Please feel free to use any pix of any of us too or if you need some PM me. Celi, this idea absolutely rocks!

The zoo consists of:

Felines: Tinkerbell, Tawny, Bob (short for Sponge Bob Square Head), Shadow, Rocket, Mocha, Benji (aka Pat Benatar), Bon Jovi, Angus, Ozzie, Magic, Bootsie, Jasper, Vivian, Veranda (Hurricane Katrina refugees, Veranda, Vivian's daughter, was born in a shelter and spent the first year and a half of her life in a cage b4 I took them in), Mocha.

Droolers: Smokey, Katie Scarlett, Jessi.

& of the Equine kind: Bandit (a Christmas present to me in 2001 or 2002) and Fancy.

What an absolutely beautiful idea! We would be proud to be included.

Oh both mocha and twix LOVE this idea! Mocha said to tell you if anyone needs help getting the cards to the top of the tree to let her know .. she is a professional Christmas tree climber ...

oh, and Raja said that "Sweet Raja" or "Raja the Queen of Hearts" would both be fine for her signature.....
she had been toying with the "Empress" too but settled on the above, if you don't mind.... ;-)

Celi, I am just reading this today. What a fabulous idea, especially since I work with older adults and know so many that don't have any family (or family that does not visit). What a lonely time for them. Please include Simon's (and Cleo's) signatures. Thank you so much for doing this. You are a wonderful, kind, giving, amazing etc., etc., etc. person.

He has the printer fired up already, and is busily sorting pictures :lol:

I have never had the heart to tell any of the residents that we have lost a kitty here...
so many of our GA babies are still bringing smiles to some lonely hearts...
and I know that each of them would approve as well :-D

I always forget to take my camera up there...
but this is such a cool thing that I will be sure to get some pictures...
and return some of the joy you have so kindly offered...

and MJ- If you see this...I want you to know that you, Butthead, and Donovan have brought
very big smiles to folks who fell immediately in love with your babies...
as so many of us here on the forum did.

I had to be VERY careful with that story...they would have chased me down if i told it wrong!
I can outrun one wheelchair...but when they gang up on me, I just surrender :lol:
You should have seen it when we went to the Festival of Trees and I came in carrying a huge plate of cookies :shock:

actually...that was quite the day...the hydraulic lift on the bus quit working after we got back and we only had 2 folks unloaded...
so crazy Celi spotted the forklift the roofers were using...and since I'm certified to drive one...
guess how we unloaded the bus :shock: :o :lol:

and...they talked me out of both my FDMB calendars from last year...didn't think to let them know they could buy them...
great idea!
 
:lol: :lol: :lol: on the forklift. That is too funny! I think the trade for everyone's agreement should be that you have to post a daily condo for a month. :smile:

I asked around and my zoo is happy to participate!!! My assortment consists of:
Jetta of course
3 Civvies named Ranger, Olivia, and Raisin
Dog named Sage
Macaw named Chicken (yes, our bird's name is chicken) If you have any bird lovers there I have a ridiculous video of her dancing...
And the tortoise named Tortuga Tortbot
 
There is a Christmas party scheduled for the 15th...and that's when they will open their cards
(and gifts)...
I'll take my camera, and we'll post a "share the love/look what you did" condo with those pics :-D

Attaching a pic of Bailey getting in the Christmas spirit :lol: It's kind of hard to see, but she has a bandage on around her trunk by her front legs - she had an abscess from a scuffle that got out of hand. We put the bandage on to keep her from messing with it of course, but she acted like we had crippled her. Wouldn't move even to eat or go to the LB (we took it off periodically to let her do these things). So the pic was easy to pose! :lol: :lol:

she had to give up her Cockatoo a few years ago :-D

we just wont tell binks...he's still miffed over the butt-nipping incident with Bernadette the parakeet :roll:
he NEVER hisses at anyone, but when we go into the Haven to visit...he looks for her to give her a "special" hiss...

this condo needs to go down in history as the place we got to learn all the GREAT names of the babies who don't get in the condos daily :-D

As usual I am not surprised as to the size of your heart for bringing smiles to so many.

Of course there are not many stories to tell about Max these days since we are at the falls
but I know he would be honoured to be part of your Christmas cards party as well as his sisters
Chloe, Mystique and Isabelle.
And you can say that these season's greetings come all the way from Canada, close to the north pole, lol.

I might even have some kitty christmas cards that I once received from the SPCA. I do not really
use them and can send them down if you need (and if I find)

Let me know if you need some pictures of my kitties, or you can steal them (I mean borrow) off my
fb page where I have all their pictures.

in my defense...it was a REALLY good price :lol:

we will happily "steal" pics from FB of your babies :-D
(best go get a 2nd printer cartridge :lol: )
