HI all! I made the decision yesterday afternoon to put Mannie back on the 3.0u dose. The skinny just was not working for him, with elusive greens, a few blues here and there. So - we went back to his last good dose: the 3.0u. Seems to have worked - we had a great green cycle last night. Though in all honesty: he had a yellow day all morning, knew he was going to break that as he usually does when surfing yellow, so between the two he had a great night. We are at 246 this morning - not too bad of a bounce, considering how fast he came down last night.

All is well in Mannieland. :cool: :cool: He was very anxious for breffis this morning - another day where I could not serve it up fast enough. He has taken to hiding around the corner from where the civvies get theirs, in the hopes that I won't see him, in the hopes he can raid what they have left. On to you there Mannie-boy! :lol: :lol: I get the bowls picked up just before he runs around the corner.

KITTIES! It is me, Chef Mannie. Today is Rusty's day, and we shall welcome him to his forever home. Party time! I have been working feverishly on this menu, in between my letter to Santa (more nanners, please!) I hope it is OK... and please, all my friends, bring your fav dishes too! I hear that Binks has written a special song for Moonie to sing - how cool is that?

Rocket says that menu looks awesome...and yes Rusty will soon be in his forever home! that's a lovely ending to his fairytale story!!! great great people here!

Good morning Michelle....good luck w/the dose increase.

Great menu....Made me kinda hungry.

Curry will leave her food bowl (and its FULL) and go check out Sidney's on the dinner table. Sidney eats her meal a bit more quickly....maybe she has learned to inhale it before the little rugrat comes to visit her dish.

Nice cycle last night for Mannie.....Hoping that Mannie turns around and does the same thing today...well, actually I hope he comes down slowly and hits some blues and greens and gives you a nice surf. Don't think that's to much to ask...is it???
Civvie Ralph is my food bowl stalker. As soon as he is done w/his bowl, he's scoping out the others. Civvie Ali eats right next to him, so hers is the first bowl he goes to. She's finally gotten enough of that and now hisses and spits at him and he runs away, lol.

Waiting in anticipation for Rusty to arrive at his new home....So excited for Ella and Edward...and of course, Rusty!

Woowee, a big old party for Rusty tonight and I'm ready! Got my sack of spices, extra cinnamon. I was thinking about bringing some pumpkin mousse (take away one of da s's and it's mouse!!) to add to da menu..I'm so excited, I can hardly sit on my mum's lap very long! And thanks - chef Mannie has been very busy. menu after menu discarded until the right one jumped out of the page...

I think the new dose will be better for him - paws crossed. I hope he doesn't bounce up too much this morning, hope hope hope... he came down so fast last night.

Tena- I know - it's always greener on the other side... I just cracks me up to see Mannie lurking, waiting, it's just got to better stuff than what he had. :lol: :lol: maybe so - it is higher carb stuff.

Looks like the dosecrease is helping Mannie out with that little bit of extra ummmpppfffff. You do such a great job of managing his curve, Michelle, that maybe his new dose IS his fitting dose. I know you have to really work to keep him above 50 at that dose but his SS looks so great there!

We are also very excited about Rusty...did you see the photo? It brought tears to my eyes. What a big, beautiful boy he is!

When you get a chance, could you please give the link (again) for the nanners? I can't find it... :?

Hi Marjorie! I do believe that Mannie likes this dose - it does make me work sometimes alot to keep him up, but the overall pictures is a good one. Now I need to work on keeping him there, the high AMPS, etc. I know it's the last to come down, but as all beans know patience is a hard lesson to learn.

And yes saw the photo. They both look so very happy - and Rusty! gorgeous! and he is a big kitty... WOW! This whole transport thing is definitely a high point in LL - a very feel good moment. I just see it as a good thing overall for LL, and all the kitties who "live here" - it helps us all.

REALLY? You'd eat thyme encrusted quail medallions?? :lol: :lol: :lol: Actually, I think alot of people do eat quail. I know we went to some friends' house for dinner one night and they were serving quail that he had hunted. I ate the veggies :lol: :lol: But I thought the funny thing was that each person had to eat about 10 quail to make one chicken breast :lol: :lol: :lol:

THanks for the nanners link....Xmas present for Gracie and Tobey. They helped me make Tobey's Xmas stocking yesterday!!!

Mannie...papabean said absolutely yes! Put that in your recipe box and you can make it ANYTIME. My papabean is like a gourmet chef!!

Mannie! That's some menu! Got the rosemary all packed from Stu's bush and some nice long straight ones for the kabobs. Didn't Ellabean and Uncle Edward look happy! Rusty is sooooo lucky, and so are they! We sugar kitties know we gots lots to be grateful for! -- Tess

Hi Ann! I am on slo mo today too - just haven't got everything revved up... I did make it for my walk, which was nice. Mannie's blue was short lived - bummer! well i hope pmps is better - am almost afraid of what it will be. :? Guess we have all been there huh. I'll remember his nice green run last night instead. :-D

I have so thoroughly enjoyed all the Rusty photos today. What a great day for him. And for Ella and Edward. I read of another transport coming in mid December for Kiki, who is going to VA, from PA.

Tess! Thanks so for the rosemary - you grow the best. I really like the idea of the long stalks for the kabobs - somehow that is way cool. This will be one cool party. I saw the photos of Ella and Edward and Rusty and all that took care of him, It made me feel soooooo good. He is so lucky. We all have so much to be thankful for - just look at all those people who care so much for all of us. YAY! Let's party! ~~ Mannie

Hey Linda! I am glad that it went all so well. I know for so many of us how heart warming this whole story and transport was. I would like to thank you and Ronnie for all the great photos, and for keeping all of us up to date as well as you did - just an great job! Rusty's transport was/is such a positive force in LL.

Hi Kim! Thanks - I hope he settles back into this dose soon, a bit off today, but that's OK. He dropped hard and fast last night, so not too surprised by the higher numbers today. Ella and Edward looked so happy - love the photos where they are holding him. One lucky kitty - they are such great caring people.

Blackie! YES! and way cool! I will come and pick you up. It will be one grand party! I love Rusty's ears - they are kinda like mine, but he's got longer fur. and I thought mine was long... On my way - See you soon! ~~ Mannie

Hi Michelle it looks like Mannie is liking his new dose (old dose). I hope he has good numbers tonight for you. Mannie's menu looks catlicious and Powder is anxious to go and to meet Rusty. He thinks Rusty looks like his civie Lucky GA 'cept Lucky had no red. Hope you have time for surfing tonight Mannie :mrgreen:

What's with kitties and their obcession with yellow today? Boy am I in trouble. I thought Rusty's party would be tomorrow . Tori gave me one of her malignant looks she's so famous for mumbled something under her breath and ran to her closet threw on something and flew out the door. There's no way in heck she's missing this. It's going to take me a long time to live this down. Mannie please make sure she gets home OK please.

Hi Barb! :-D I have received a text from Mannie - he says that Tori made it just in time. She even helped in the kitchen, getting all the dishes ready. Quite the shindig going on. He says he will bring her home, make sure she makes it safe and sound. These kitties! Wish I had their social agenda. :lol:
