Sending prayers that little Blackie @sherry mccormick is doing ok after his hypo event yesterday evening. I was hoping to see an update this morning - maybe soon. It was probably a long night for Sandra.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone who is celebrating today!

Things did calm down at work yesterday and I was able to leave early for my hair appointment - I really needed that! A couple of hours to sit and not think...and DH had Luci duty because she decided it would be a good day to take her cast out on the surfboard. I'm not sure if the cast is just providing more protection and hence less pain or what is it with these lovely numbers but it does not appear she's in pain. However, she despises dragging it around - it's huge and seems heavy and I think it's exhausting for her to move around much.

This is her when we came home from dinner last night.

What a beautiful sight to come home to!!! She may not like the cast so much but it sure likes her! Her numbers are great!!
Glad you were able to get some brain R&R and a new hairdo to boot!!

Sometimes I swear I'm nearly just a complete babbling idiot...what can I say? :facepalm::p:facepalm: What would we all do without one another! :bighug::bighug:

Miss Luci has also decided to take this day to wander into the lagoon - so I'm using one of my timers - I only have 3 - to remind me to test her hourly - I've made a pumpkin roll and pecan bars - and am trying to make spiced pecans for the top of the pumpkin roll. Later I'm making the sweet potato casserole to take to SIL's for dinner this afternoon - the question is, will Luci be coming along with us for hourly supervision or will she be out of the lagoon by then? Only Luci knows...these cats will give you a run for your money!
 
Happy Thanksgiving Sue. I hope you have an uneventful day of plenty. Eat well and maybe you can sneak a turkey nap in afterwards!

Luci looks quite relaxed and happy! I’m glad she doesn’t seem to be in pain. I’m sure that cast is difficult to get around with, but maybe it will keep her from doing things like jumping.
