@Staci & Ivy @cecile & bella @Karen and Chispa Thank's for asking!
At the time we stayed with Robert's sister at a flat which was part of a big villa in the mountains in Italy. When we went to see the flat we were going to move into we saw Fistuk Prince and their little sister in the courtyard. they were just three weeks or so. The person who back then made noises as if the cats were his (we learnt otherwise later) said that Fistuk and his sister were promised to someone - bc they were completely white. But that we could take prince, because he had a grey stain on his head and a grey tail so he wasn't pure (can you feel my cynicism...)
Anyhow, one day we were coming out of the flat, getting ready to get into the car when Fistuk leaped out of the courtyard and started running towards me. We then realised that their mother was gone and both Fistuk and Prince were sick and their sister died. It was getting already cool, October mountain weather, so we took them into the house and I fed them goats milk. Later I learnt that the idiot neighbour tried giving them aspirin

At night I heard the mother meowing and I thought she probably have come back from trying to hunt for food so I took them both out to her with a box and hot water bottle but on the following day I realised that the mother didn't have enough milk and Fistuk was just starving. We both have the same infant trauma....
So I took them both in and that was it. I started treating them for the flu and fed them goat milk until they were old enough to eat cat food.
That scene of Fistuk leaping out from the courtyard to catch me before I left was so special. Robert keeps on saying that Fistuk knew what he was doing, the life he made for himself by running out to me.
It was a love at first sight but I had to be patient before I could have him in my arms. The name Fistuk came immediately. He was so tiny he fit on my palm like a small pistachio.
