OK, update. Merlin threw up. I noticed he didn't eat all of the ocean whitefish I gave him at the 2am BG check and feeding. I thought that was odd. I just saw in one of the back rooms that he threw up a little. Just brown liquid, which is what it often is. I swear when I was buying the FF yesterday I seriously thought about not getting seafood. He used to vomit sporadically and it was becoming more frequent (hence the change to a sensitive stomach diet that precipitated this entire blood sugar thing) and I'm not sure but it seems like he might have been vomiting more when he had seafood. I think I'm going to just stick to baby food for now. He is doing well on it. He just ate a whole jar this morning. I'm going to avoid other cat food. We don't need vomiting on top of this! :banghead:

Also, I meant to ask for advice on constipation. He hasn't pooped but two small poops since he has been home from the ER. What can I do for constipation that won't mess with his BG?

Looks like a bounce. The last test might be a sign it will break, the high before it clears.. If still high later it’s not breaking. Bounces often take at least 4 cycles to break but sometimes they break quickly.

Looks like a bounce to me. Numbers wobble around during a bounce, and it can take up to six cycles to clear.

Regarding the food he's eating, baby food is not a complete diet for cats. It would be good to find something without fish that he can eat. Do check the FF labels - a surprising number of non fish flavours still have fish in them or "meat byproducts" which can be any protein. There are lots of other low carb brands out there that could work. Single or limited ingredient products are typically better that way.

Kelley would you mind starting a new thread please as this one is getting long .:)
And can you link this thread to the new one for continuity. Thx.
