Yesterday's Very Yellow Condo
Happy Thanksgiving to all my dear LL Family! I am so thankful for this place and the wonderful people that are here. You are all one of my greatest blessings.
Cinco is showing a little improvement after his dosecrease yesterday - that +4 drop concerned me about what was to come, but he's leveled off so I don't think I need to worry about leaving him this afternoon. We will most like go with an 18 hour schedule, although a late shot has not been ruled out. We'll just have to see when we get home tonight. I really hate to mess with things if he's finally getting back on track, but it is what it is.
The other three kitties all ate portions of their breakfast - no CPC but no complete refusal, either. At this stage, I'll take that. I gave Harvey a half a Zyrtec and his sneezing has calmed down for now. I guess I'll keep him on that for a while and see how it goes. He has had some major sneezing fits in the past 48 hours. I don't know if it's the Metro or something else, but it is new, so I can't help but wonder. He's sleeping peacefully behind me in my desk chair - so I'm perched on the edge! This is a normal thing for us, that had been absent since he got sick, so I'm happy to see it, however uncomfortable I may be!
I gave both Minka and Harvey their fluids yesterday afternoon in more relaxed situations. They were both uncomfortable in the downstairs bathroom, which is our normal site for medical treatments (insulin injections, fluids, etc.). So I went out and spent $30 on a used IV pole and gave Harvey his fluids while he was on my desk chair (although I did have to put him in the cat sack) and Minka got hers while she snuggled in the afghan on the living room sofa. Much better experience for all concerned. If we have to continue to do this on a daily basis, I'm gonna need more fluids. I looked online and everyone seems to be out of Ringers. Is the vet the only source for this now? I recall Marje used to get hers at Thriving Pets, but they only have the bags containing DEHP, which she said to avoid. Any pointers would be appreciated.
I have to go get cleaned up now. We leave for Sac in an hour. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and all your kitties give you numbers to be thankful for.
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG: Praying extra hard for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, Lisa's DF and Elise's DM. Extra vines to Rhiannon and Shadow.
