Since I have the early shift (so to speak) he will stay up. He gets up about 2 hrs after I do so it works out. Usually a +4.5 (9pm) is good enough so he gets good sleep too. He was watching the Texans last night and has a dental cleaning this morning so he is sleeping in this morning also.

Sounds like your household is similar to mine - DH keeps the later night watch and I'm up early to handle the 'day watch'...this silly FD is a 7/24/365 kinda deal...just like the hospital I work for...never stops does it...
