Good Monday Morning ~O) ~O) ~O)

Zeus was high bouncy yesterday, and we're starting off the day with another ugly red :sad: but Zeus was purring for his test this morning. It was a faint purr, but it was there :smile: Eating breakfast right now, well actually Smokey's breakfast. No LB presents yet.

I Hope Zeus enjoys Smokey's breakfast! Sometimes when Olllie eats the "little boys" food , i'm wondering if he thinks that if he eats their food, they'll leave and he'd be happy.

Hi guys I see you are on the red floor too, yuck! Our boys need to come down from there. I hate seeing red, it makes me so nervous. Hope Zeus comes down nicely for you today! Have a good Monday!

Hi Michelle, I hate that red floor too! We came down to a yellow, pretty close to a blue... Or at least that's how I see it ;-)

Hi Mary... It is funny because I feed them both the same food and even use the kind of dish, same color, same shape, same everything.... And Zeus still thinks he is getting something better when he eats Smokey's breakfast. Does it every day, it's the funniest thing.

He sure does Tara... I just got home a little while ago and Zeus just looked weird. His eyes were funny.... Like he had been sleeping, but when I talked to him he didn't change his expression just kind of a blank stare, half closed glassy eyes. I couldn't get the testing supplies fast enough, LOL. I was happy to see a 103 at +11. Phew!

He was just trying to scare his momma. He looks fine now, has been running to the kitchen and back looking for his food. Will test again in 20 min, which is +12.

I think they feel kind of funny they drop that steep?

Maybe he's going to have another one of *those* cycles?

BTW Chip is still surfing that exact same curve from the other day.

(officially tightly regulated on Levemir I guess)

Thanks Dale, yeah, it must make them feel kind of weird. My grandfather was a diabetic. And boy do I wish he was still alive to ask him a ton of questions. He tested himself quite a lot throughout the day, I bet he could give me all kinds of advice.

Great surfing Chip :-D I hope Zeus decides to follow your lead one day soon! Would love to see him surf in the blues and greens.

He is still dropping, a green 83 at PMPS. I think I will give his usual dose and keep my trusty alarm clock set for tests tonight.... I agree, it might just be one of those cycles. :roll:

I think with that number, Kathie, I'd give him some HC and gravy or some karo....you want him up pretty quick. You'll then have to watch him and make sure he doesn't turn around when the HC wears off.

And he gets a reduction! :-D

I hate to see him have to take that reduction, but maybe that's what he needs?

I will take the reduction, can always go back up later if needed.

Gave more LC with a tsp of HC gravy. Had to pick him up and place him in front of the dish... I thought he would come running when I clinked the spoon on the dish.

Maybe he will bounce out of the danger zone. But he's not quite there yet.

Thanks guys :smile: Zeus has decided that it is nap time, silly kitty. Will test again in a few minutes. Fingers crossed for no bouncing
 
Up to 95 now at +6.5. With the HC on board, how often should I test now? How long does that tend to keep the numbers up? First time I have fed Zeus HC since we were diagnosed.
 
Usually 1.5-2 hours and it starts wearing off butnECID.

I'd set al alarm and check him in a couple hours. Hope you get some rest. niNi.
