jess, i read your post elsewhere, and you mentioned one point that i thought was especially important. you said something about cats with other medical issues going on - i suspect that plays an enormous part in who is bouncy, who goes off of insulin with minimal effort, and who stays on insulin long-term. pancreatitis is common in diabetic cats and it can smolder and be difficult to manage and identify - and of course, there are many other issues that can affect the response as well.
