Good morning LantusLand! Yesterday's Blue Ride

KT's starting out the day in his UGLY pink pj's - I keep telling him I'm gonna burn those ugly things. We're FINALLY going to have a beautiful day. Had planned several things when it cleared up outside but the last 3 days have been TERRIBLE for hubby and sort of unusual....bad muscle spasms in damaged shoulder and neck causing bad headache. He's literally laid and cried several times because it hurt so bad. It's draining his potassium like crazy causing repeated paralysis attacks....so I won't get my 'outside' stuff done today. Oh well....there's a reason...don't know what it is but just keep reminding myself there's a reason we're living thru this.

I so totally forgot to share WONDERFUL celebration news this morning. Our little 14 year old elderly lady, Peanut, one of our ferals, has lived her whole life with us and inside an 8' privacy fence - sounds strange for a feral huh. She lives with Lily in a 'cattery' in our backyard - heated, carpeted, porched, all set up for them. The only time she wants petted is when it's storming - I can scratch her head. Other than that, she doesn't want touched - never has. I tried to push it and 'tame' her several times but it just caused her to be more skittish and unhappy. She'll come sit near me and enjoy it as long as no one reaches toward her. About 4 days ago, I noticed a swelling on the side of her lip or gum. I can't do anything to see it more than following her and looking when she faced me. She's also never like soft food, she's always been a kibble baby by choice. The only thing I could think to do besides praying for guidance was crumble Amox pills on wet food, sprinkle it with Forti-Flora and hope. She dug in! She's gotten 2 amox's a day and today, IT'S GONE!! The lip still looks a little swollen underneath but the terrible knot has disappeared. Between the amox, the vitamins and prayers, something worked! I'm just SO overjoyed - I was really really worried about how I was going to take care of her when the only way I can catch her is run her into a box and slam the lid.

SO....celebrate with us!! Peanut's healing!!

you are an amazing lady and I admire you for always being so upbeat and positive no matter what is going on in your world. I know you must be exhausted but you

So sorry to hear about your hubby. That's got to be hard on you both. Hoping he gets some relief from this soon.

Hi Lyresa,
Your Peanut story is amazing. She is so lucky to have you (as are all of your "critters"). I didn't know your DH was in so much pain and hope that he will be feeling better soon. My DH suffered terribly with a frozen shoulder for 7 years and doctors and physical therapists were unable to do anything for him. This year he was lucky to find a chiropractor who is an absolute genius and has cured him! So think positively. I hope your DH will find relief, too.

Now, KT, it's time to get off the pink floor, buddy!!

We're ending the day back in those ugly pink pj's - YUCK! I didn't test but a couple of extra times today - thought I'd give his ears a rest.

Thank you everyone - I needed those hugs badly today. Oh you all are so good for my heart! I'm a huge believer in things happen for a reason and God won't give me any more than I can handle - soooo, the right thing for ME to do is my best, learn all I can with what 'things' I'm presented with and smile. I'm rewarded over and over and over....

like the almost 200 cans of food I just got in the mail from Anne, Liz and Zener...
