morning LL - Shadow got a shave this morning. appetite excellent. 3/5 P's. feeding her out of the automat for every meal, every snack. napping in the sun.

those newspeople were full of beans about the 23 degrees, only got down to 36. and they are at it again, predicting 28 for tonight. I wonder if they are that excitable about everything. sheesh.

SWEET! Love the price. I need to get there today. Mannie's cupboard is getting a little sparse, he knows it, and is not happy.... :lol:

I got there about 7:30 and there was no line and they had lots of cases of food on the shelf. You just can't beat that price. Their Friskies was 40 cents a can too.

Kim...you are one BRAVE girl!!! I'm not even sure I'm getting in my car today :lol: :lol: Very nice amps for Shadow...good luck with the reduction!! Go Shadow!
They were predicting frost here so we scurried out yesterday afternoon and covered all the plants that don't like the cold; I think it got below 32 but nothing froze...people don't realize we get some low nighttime temps in Nov/Dec in Tucson...last year it got to 17 one night BRRRRRR! Have a great day!!

Holy cow! 12 cases! You must have wiped them out! :lol: It was a really good deal though.

Great numbers for Shadow! He must be a smart boy to figure out the timed feeder already.

not even close to wiped out. they had cases stacked up to the rafters and in the back of the store, more of it on pallets wrapped with that plastic stuff. they were expecting a run on FF! And we only got the flavors that I know the wrecking crew will eat. since all 4 kitties are eating wet food, we go thru it around here. and I didn't want the DPS to have to worry about picking some up. we've got her covered! and we didn't pick up anything but LC. now to find a place to stash it all.

in the meantime, I'm gonna see if I can talk the kitties into a nap.

my idea of a perfect afternoon. and after my early morning trek, it is exactly the way I spent my afternoon. lovely.
 
My pet sitter wants SHadow on 8 a.m/p.m. so I'm slowly moving her schedule this weekend. As our departure gets closer, I am more and more confident that Mary will be fine with this and as long as she really works the small frequent meals, Shadow will be fine.

Right! I'm sure that Shadow will be fine. Mary has been your DPS in the past, right? It's nice to have someone that they are familiar with. It's always hard to leave our furbabies....but it will be ok.

When are you leaving?
 
Laurie - just posted a long comment and it disappeared. hate it when that happens.

Mary has been our housesitter/petsitter for many years. The monsters all know her and are very comfortable with her. The "no dry food" thing is new since she was here last as well as the FD. She's comfortable giving insulin and she spoils them terribly when she comes.

Whew, just typing this out, I'm feeling better.

We leave on Tuesday for 12 days. Last year my mom was sick and this year Shadow has been sick, so we haven't had a vacation in a long time.

I think FD mamas are born worriers - we all seem to have that in common.

The DPS isn't going to have to measure 1.25 is she? That's a hard dose for even us to measure. See, there I go again.

:lol: :lol: Dyana - I'm going to drop Shadow to 1u for DPS and leave a syringe with juice in it so she'll have a visual. I have hypo instructions as well as symptoms of DKA and a map to my closest ER vet.

I'm going to try not to obsess - not easy.
