No PMPS number last night. I was gone and my neighbor gave shot. Seems like she gets better control than I do. His +4 (when I got home) was 260. She does feed less so that is most probably why. Well, I am off in a bit to Petsmart for FF and litter. Gotta hit one sale today.

harley...put all them kitties on your scooter and bring them down to the nicer floors...
 
Harley went down tonight. PMPS 101. My computer has locked me out of my ss so I will update it later. I think he fell because he did not get the volumes of food as usual. He is gaining weight so I went down to only about 2.5 cans FF instead of the usual 3-4. Today, it made a difference in bs - but it was noisy here. He was not happy - kinda like me when I give up chocolate.

You might take a look at Dr. Lisa's site -- the section on feline obesity. She gives a formula for estimating the amount of calories a cat needs and discusses how to reduce the quantity of food. Dropping the amount that you did is sure to get Harley unhappy and hungry all the time.

Sienne brings up a good point. I read dr lisas sight many times before the foster kitty arrived. I weigh her 2x/wk any time I do a reduction to make sure it was the right amount. I learned after a while that the reduction of calories for her was sometimes too much, even if safe. Honestly we are at a phase right now where just taking 1~2 tsp or T each day is enough to make a difference.

I would encourage you to look the site over.

I wonder if budesonide has similar effects of pred, making them hungry??

Did you get any beds at petsmart? I couldn't pass them up at those prices. Duchess is sleeping in one right now. Or 50% off toys?!

I did get one of the beds - I wish I had gotten 2. Harley slept on it all afternoon. Right now, Laura and Scooter are sharing it. I just printed the article on obesity and will begin tomorrow. It made more sense than me just cutting as I thought it should be. Thank you.
