What do ya'll do for hairballs? Gizmo has hacked up two in the last two days. I think he is making up for his sick time by cleaning himself this past week.

Hope beans and kitties alike have a nice Caturday.

I hope Gizmo heads back to green for you soon. I bought a Furminator to brush Furball with to help get rid of loose hair. When I was growing up my Mom always gave Vaseline to her cats to prevent hairballs, but I don't know if that's a good idea for a diabetic.

Sorry about the fuzz balls. Civie Moo has them constantly and think I'll order the Furminator. Doodles usually gets a lion cut but it's pretty long now for winter.

Gizmo, back to business please. ETA: I've been told a tsp or two of egg yolk can help with hairballs.

This must be furball season as Bubba hacked one up yesterday before dinner. A bit of unsalted butter is what I used to give to my Sug, GA and I might start giving a bit to Bubba on a regular basis to see if it helps.

A bit of unsalted butter
How much is a bit? How do you administer it?

He was definitely feeling better yesterday a.m. after he got rid of that one. This morning a big one was waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs. Yuk. But I am glad he got rid of them. He isn't plagued with them but he does have them occasionally.

It is the cooler weather and the change to winter coats that is bringing them on. That and the fact he is grooming himself again and making up for lost time. Double edged sword.
