Slow start today. It's cold and grey, I am still not feeling the greatest and it's a long weekend. Perfect excuse to be lazy, in other words.

I guess Walter was getting bored with all the laying around though and went on a little shark hunt instead. No clue why he would finally work the juice now - he's really way overdue for a dosecrease. Glad I held off!

Mandarin is celebrating a not-so-happy anniversary today: it was two years ago today that I gave him his first Insulin injection. It's been an eventful two years to say the least. He's come off the juice twice, had two dentals, and came down with pancreatitis. He has also blossomed into a much more social and trusting cat. I never imagined that he would turn into such a cooperative patient. And without him being diagnosed, I would have probably never decided to take a second diabetic cat (Walter) into foster.

Bitter sweet anniversary...he's so lucky to have you as his awesome bean! Walter...back to confusing everyone and going by your own rules  I'm glad you are resting and having it being gloomy out helps make that easier. No more funny stuff boys, just give mama lots of head butts and purrs.

Happy Annifursary. It's always amazing how much change you see from the beginning. FD really does bond us to our furred ones.

Healing vines for you. And Walter, behave!

Wow Walter, that was a crazy drop and glad you held off the dose crease.

Mandarin has been through the mill these last two years. Wonder if all the extra attention made him more sociable?

Happy Anniversary. It's great to hear Mandarin has become more social and trusting. I hope he will get back to OTJ for you. I hope Walter keeps surfing safely for you. I hope you get more rest today and feel better soon. Sending prayers.

These anniversaries are always bittersweet - but as you pointed it, there really is a lot of "sweet" in there....so, Happy Anniversary!! Feel better soon!!

Ah it is a bit of a bittersweet annifursary. I do think all the testing does teach our shy kitties to be a bit more sociable. I think they learn to trust us more (and bribery with treats helps!) and to know we're doing our best to help them.

Walter -- behave! You're on snuggle duty tonight. Mama bean needs you to help make her feel better.
