Good Morning, Everyone
"Black Friday", but Rusty is GREEN!! He was trying to get me up early this morning with headbutts (he doesn't just butt, he presses his head really hard against mine and presses and presses), but he had to wait 15 minutes until the alarm went off. Then he went tearing, zooming down the stairs. I guess the AMPS of 75 was the reason!! So he had his nice breakfast of Wellness Turkey (2 sittings) and his shot (the usual amount: skinny 2.0 units). Then he wanted to go outside, but turned around and came in because it was cold, damp, and drizzling. Now the sun is out, so we'll be outside soon, walking on the walk, which is pretty clear of snow. The temperature is supposed to get up to 50 degrees today, so I think most of the snow will be gone by this evening.
Today we will be going to the landfill and later this afternoon I plan to do my "Black Friday" shopping in our new Community Store. This is a small, really nice store that members of the community have funded themselves (it even got a write-up in the NY Times several weeks ago! http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/13/b...&scp=1&sq=Saranac Lake Community Store&st=cse). We have no department-type stores here (the last one moved out 8 years ago) and people here wanted to be able to shop locally for things they need and that are of higher quality than what you can find in "dollar stores".
Off now to do some chores. Back later.
Thinking of you all today,
Ella & Rusty
