Yesterday's Condo

Happy Thanksgiving to those in LL and a thank-you to our international family who have been keeping an eye on the Board while the US contingent prepare for or indulge in a food coma. Pie is made (pumpkin caramel), cranberries are finished and chilling, sweet potatoes are ready for reheating, and all that's really to be done is making the stuffing and roasting a turkey and making the gravy and veggies.

Billy Elliott was great. After the show and for PMPS, Gabby decided to put on her own form of entertainment by demonstrating for my friends how a FD kitty can nose dive. One of the friends who's here for the holiday is an MD and one of the smartest people I know. He was incredulous at a 175 point drop by +2. He's actually been amazed by this Board and the support and knowledge that's available here.

Not only did Gabby demonstrate how to surf in the greens, she's been pretty outgoing (for Gabby) with my friends. She's been hanging out in the living room with us. I don't think she wanted Gizmo to get all of the attention!!

For those so inclined, the pie recipe is from Gourmet magazine. I like to cook almost as much as I like to test (although, I really wish I didn't have to test).

sounds like Gabby wanted everyone to know what you and her were capable of doing and showing off for your friends.
Looks like you have things under control for your Thanksgiving meal...sounds good! I just love Thanksgiving food! Pie sounds yummy!!! I made an apple-cranberry crisp that is ummmummmmummm...can't wait to eat!!!!

We're having a little problem with diarrhea and a couple pukus -- although there may be some hairball action in the latter. Gabby got started on metronidazole and Pepsid. She seems perfectly fine and was all very loud purrs earlier and was hungry for dinner. I take that as a very good sign. I really wonder if she was reacting to the HC she's been getting.

Why is she on the ABs?? IIRC, it can upset some tummies, so I hope you have some probiotics/fortiflora?

Maybe she snuck a taste of the caramel pecan pie.

Glad Gabby is doing better.

Billie Elliot was in my Netflix queue for this evening.....Absolutely delightful.....Curry came to me at the end of the movie asking me why tears were running down my face......I"m such a sap.
